Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
No HM for me yet, I'm afraid . This recovery is based on short sessions mixed in with some weight work. The longest single session that I've been able to row in the last 4 months is 6k - a far cry from the marathon I rowed in May. I've been increasing volume for FTC - from about 30k total over the last few months to 141k so far this month - but I've slowed way down to do this.damselfly wrote:Ron M - 23,738 Whoa! HM plus a bunch!!!
I'm hoping to get a 30' followed by a 10k in the next few days and then a 60' and HM within the month. I'll have to try to get back some speed once FTC is done but that's all based on nothing detouring the recovery.

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
I am taking it easy today and only rowing 51333m today. (My million meter milestone) Gonna celebrate that and the first day of fall with a beer and bbq! LOL
(besides after rowing almost all day yesterday, I am sure they will be shocked to see me on the rower today! heeheheheh)
I sure hope the maintenance guy works on the rower tomorrow cos I think I wore it out...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Question: The site says "Each team rows or skis as many meters as they can collectively between 12:00 a.m. September 15 and 11:59 p.m. October 15." Now, is that 11:59 pm Vermont time, or the rowers time?

A little lower in the page is this:Cikan Vuz wrote:Question: The site says "Each team rows or skis as many meters as they can collectively between 12:00 a.m. September 15 and 11:59 p.m. October 15." Now, is that 11:59 pm Vermont time, or the rowers time?
"Deadline for entering meters: October 18 at midnight ET."
Also, most of the time requirements on the site are Eastern time, so best guess would be midnight in Vermont.
Oh, hey, "Midnight in Vermont". I like that. I'm thinkin' there's a movie in that, or at least a song.
Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
That's exactly right Diane, it IS Vermont time! Oh, and I drove to C2 headquarters in Morrisville to rattle their cage about your erg...turns out it'll be a few more days. Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Well I'm gonna dispute the whole time thing. The only field of consequence is the date on the entry of the piece. I take that to mean the date relative to the rower and in his own time zone. The note above is about entering meters for the challenge, not rowing them. You have until midnight ET the 18th to enter them.ronmardix wrote:A little lower in the page is this:Cikan Vuz wrote:Question: The site says "Each team rows or skis as many meters as they can collectively between 12:00 a.m. September 15 and 11:59 p.m. October 15." I've been meaning to fix my name and finally decided to take care of it. I didn't realize that it would have repercussions.

Actually, what you say makes sense, but it seems like it should be made more clear in the challenge page.
