Wow, thank you for the comprehensive history overview, that was interesting
I see the Luna-tics have picked up quite a bit of speed since the beginning, approaching the moon again already on the second season. Perhaps we should go to Mars next time?

Eureka!
Ed, our man in Qatar, has uploaded some meters...sending a signal that he's making his transition to a new place with some good rowing meters! Whoop, whoop and good to "hear" from you!
Another episode.....
In our team forum version of "He Said, She Said", it's not too unusual to see some dittos flying back and forth from bg and Danno. It's kind of like the Minnie hula graphic - just makes for a good smile in your day. Started thinking about where the word ditto originated...and that was it, down the bunny trail of the mind. Back in the day, some of us took Latin....YEARS of Latin. The fun quote then was "semper ubi sub ubi" which with a direct translation from what some refer to as Dog Latin (instead of Pig Latin) means "always where under where" - and that was supposed to send us all into peals of laughter when we thought of it as "always wear underwear" in our early high school and middle school days. Most of us take the word ditto to mean "the same as previously stated", and in ancient times (before high school even!), the Latin word "dicere" migrated through Italian and into Tuscan dialect as "ditto" or "the same as has been said." But wait...there's more. Ditto is also the symbol ", and a machine, the predecessor of our modern copiers, scanners, etc. I know that I certainly remember the purple-inked copies that we would get in grade school...gadzooks, talk about a lot of solvent sniffing as we got those sometimes still damp purple ink pages.... So now you know.
Welcome back two more returning teammates: Pat B and Gail W ! Great to see you on the roster!

Aw, somebody had to do it. And I also took 2 years of Latin in high school. And the smell memory of the mimeograph machine goes back much further. So ditto to all of it.

I only had one semester of Latin and Greek Derivatives for Pre-Med students so I'm a little lacking in the language department, but I remember that smell also. I was the goto ditto machine operator in high school.

I used to love watching the lightning streak across the sky in Arizona. Ah, memories...
Can't wait for the fall to finally get here. It's been humid and nasty here in northern Alabama with ragweed and pollen levels through the roof. Would love to see some snow
Best,
Eric

It was nice to get back on the rower!! The weather will take some getting use to. High of 105 low of 95!! October supposed to get better. Meeting some great people that work for me now from India, Algiers, Africa, Kenya, Bogata, Pakistan and the Philapeans. Great experience learning all the cultures.
