Okay, your palindrome beats my palindrome, hands down, DD Ron Ron!
I stopped rowing, last night, when I couldn't stand watching Silver Lining Playbook for one more meter ... and happened to hit a number which addresses my trans-Atlantic ex-pat confusion as to whether my birthday is 8-6 or 6-8. I never used to get such a thrill out of numerology!

Ron you should take a break and heal. The team will be here. A wise woman told me that once. Try a skierg or chill and play Golf

Re: Summer Zodiacs
That's some serious road work; how often do you have to buy new running shoes? Maybe you could jog over to the Left Coast, sometime soon, and I'll take you out for a birthday dinner. (Would be happy to drop you at the airport, afterwards, if you didn't want to run all the way back to "your side!")bg wrote: ....should be back rowing tomorrow...took a few days off as part of my taper and today i am recovering...friday night/saturday morning, i ran 32.56 miles...a little more than a 50k :}
Re: Summer Zodiacs
depending on my mileage at least every 6 months...since i've upped my mileage, i'll probably have to start buying new shoes every 4 months, if not sooner....hmmmm...wish i was more of a traveler....btw...i used my new concept2 bag to bring all my gear to the race :}just27 wrote:That's some serious road work; how often do you have to buy new running shoes? Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
Hi everyone
I've been off the forum and off the erg since May due to some injuries, and wonder if anyone has some advice--after thinking I had a stress fracture of my right foot, my ortho has now determined I have Morton's neuroma in my right foot--basically an entrapped nerve. Her advice applied to exercise is--if it hurts, stop, and try to do as much as I can barefoot.
I just got back on the erg after several months off (yay! ) and tried barefoot rowing--not terrible if I wrap socks around the heel straps, but not great, either. Maybe my feet have to adjust?
I'm also struggling with what feels like a recurring groin pull (never had one, so I'm guessing).
If anyone has had experience rowing barefoot, rowing with Morton's neuroma, or rowing with what seems to be a mild groin pull, I'd appreciate some advice about what worked for you!
Thanks, it's great to finally be back and feel as if I may be able to start rowing regularly again. I get REALLY crabby when I don't row, my husband is hoping I will start rowing regularly, too!

Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
Thanks, 'Ron--this is helpful, I'll look into finding a sports podiatrist. Sounds like a good option...today the barefoot rowing seemed okay, maybe I'll be able to keep that up, we'll see...until I can sort something out.
I appreciate it!

Sorry to hear what's been happening with you, Laurie. You might also want to cut-n-paste your original post over to the Health and Fitness forum. (I row barefoot about half the time, for no reason other than it's comfortable, for me. I wonder what difference it makes; other than my heels get black!) All best wishes.voodoogirl wrote: ...
