Finished rowing around midnight; loaded meters; followed above directive and went into backyard to regard night sky. Saw skunk inside yard, with tail already raised; grabbed dog and dragged her inside. Taking a pass on astronomy, tonight.

Wunderkind Zachary has posted a new "photo" - do check it out on the team profile page. The expression full of beans comes to mind - in this instance meaning full of energy and enthusiasm (with slight overtones of world dominance  ). Very fun. And the mystery of just who he belongs to continues....although we have our suspicions.

Dan W has posted a new photo, too - great to see the updates.

Season meters as of 67/365 = 14,692,648 m

Total meters on the day = 91,587 m

Oars in space (participation) = 13 percent

... and now, Alex, too! With physiques like that, it's obvious these young'uns are somehow related to The Terminator. Presentation, presentation, presentation.

Haven't been on here in a while but love to stop by tonight to see all the awesome rows by the team!

I also wanted to say how much I love the stork by my row yesterday, too!

I was more intrigued by the hand off of the "baton" of the rowing machine handle in the team rowing events! That was incredibly speedy.

Image At least it is for the Northern Hemisphere folks !

Image It's a dry heat....not !!

It's officially the North American Monsoon season now, and that means more rain over what can normally be kind of high desert country. This affects parts of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Southern California and Utah...so many might not have experienced this. Of course, those who live in areas where there is like a gazillion percent humidity all the time are going to say....quit your whining! The National Weather Service calls it the monsoon season only after three consecutive days of dewpoint temperatures of 54 F or more, and I think Phoenix is the location where this is metered. Mostly that means that you get your outside stuff done earlier in the day, because you've got a good likelihood of finding good lightning and rain lurking directly overhead by 2:30 PM or so. Be careful out there...good time for some indoor rowing (especially if you have air conditioning...). The downside to all this sudden rain is that the fire burn areas are seeing some giant mud slides....whoa.

Season meters as of 69/365 = 15,131,746 m

Total meters on the day = 166,618 m

Oars in space (participation) = 17 percent

K2,

Well, far enough along that the old Model D is back in place. All that milage was from before the urban renewal project began. I was only able to manage an easy 10 minute row yesterday and will slowly work back to my usual insanity.

On Facebook, there is a page for "Get Out and Row" which posts pictures that people send in of ergs in different exotic places. When I saw this one, I couldn't resist forwarding it to the group. It's not my morning view, but I will be thinking it now...

While I'd never think of Gulfport, Mississippi, as "exotic," it's certainly a stunning morning shot!
