You know what they say . . . 50K every three day(s) . . .

"Hotter than love in a haystack" here in NH, as my Grammy used to say. No tornados, here; too mountainous I guess. Though we do get one every once in a while.

I hope you are all rowing strong, Team!

10,000,000m!
A couple of days behind schedule, but I did it in great time! The last million was done over 124 days, & took only 64 hours & 58 minutes - about 1:56.9 average!

(All 10 million were done over 1,577 days & took 655:47:26.7, about 1:58 per 500m. To average 2:00/500m would have taken 666:40:00!)

I'm still over my standard 255 lbs., and well over the 245-7 lbs. I competed at. But, I have taken off about 6 pounds over the past million meters, & I'm clearly in better condition than I was 4 months ago.
For example, part of today's row was an hour row during which I covered 15,757m which is 1st among the 79 rowers in my age category who've posted times during this young season. A few days ago, I did a HM in 1:21:24, which put me up among the leaders.
So, I'm generally happy with where I am. Now, it's time to work on my speed using more sprints, while preparing for a Full Marathon by adding one long row each week. When my long row gets to about 28K, I plan to do at least 1 marathon...

Anyone else using the iPhone erg app? It uploaded my first two pieces yesterday and then not the last two. Today it uploads nothing. When I go to sync it says nothing to upload...

I'm going to try to use this saying at work today. It should make things interesting for everyone.

Kudos to you, old boy. The meter total is almost as impressive as the average time.

Kudos to Izzie: stating that he was a bit behind schedule in hitting 10 million meters is the height of humility- from a world class athlete.
I will have to consult a Phd. in Math to determine when I am scheduled to hit 10 million- and an Actuary to determine the probability-
at age 66 and needing another 5 mill or so- the likelihood reminds me of the advice in an old song: "I'll live 5 years if I take my time........"
Seriously though, It is good to be rowing again- taking baby steps- keeping it real- as recovery from, what for me was a horrendous back injury, continues.
