You best option is to purchase a new PM3. The older version of the PM3 is not as good in terms of reliability and battery consumption.

Thanks Carl. It's a Model D I purchased used. I've been able to keep the old PM2 monitor working until now by cleaning the contacts, but it's beyond repair. I'm sure a new PM3 monitor would be the best option (and a good value for brand new hardware), but I thought it would be worth trying to find a used one first. Let's see if someone upgrading to a PM4 would like to sell their old monitor.
