Whoop, whoop and hooyah! Five months into rowing, and this young gent has crossed the million meter milestone....and is talking some major smack in his team profile write up. Quite an accomplishment to get to a million meters - takes a lot of focus. Congratulations, Alex R, on achieving a ONE million meter rowing season. We look forward to many, MANY more!

PS - save smack for opponents. We're on your side.

Hooyah and whoop whoop! Another young gent has been staying close to the rowing machine somewhere in New York....and has strung together a series of rows over his five months on Daddy's rower to get to one million meters. Let's see....200K a month....maybe row 25 of 30 or 31 days a month....probably rowing an hour each time...that's at least 125 or 130 hours of rowing over five months. That's in-cred-i-ble ! Congratulations, Zachary, on achieving a ONE million meter rowing season! We wish you many, MANY more!!

More Frozen Innings! Springtime in the Rockies left about five inches of snow on the environs. The third Rockies game in eight days was canceled yesterday. Split doubleheader is planned for today - and the ATVs with plows are making progress on snow removal at Coors Field. Game 1 is slated to start at 1:10 pm. This should give the Atlanta Braves enough time to run out and buy some additional base layers and neck gaitors since the temperatures should hover around 30 to 32 F. Hooboy! And Denver's not the only MLB town to be faced with some inclement weather conditions.

For a full map of baseball stadium weather conditions across the country, visit the Accuweather Baseball Stadium weather map....they have one of those?! Who knew?! http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/baseball-weather !

And the day just got away from me.....whooooosh!

Hooboy - it's Christmas again with two more returning teammates. Today's numbers were captured later in the day due to bicycling meetings. It was for a good cause, really. As a result, I am sure I have some numbers that are representative of more than a day, or a different day than you maybe thought it was. Hah! If this is confusing to you, I assure you that it is to me, too. Only the Concept2 genie really knows....... Whatever you rowed in the last day or so, it was great ! :D

It's quite exciting to see so many teammates heading down the final approach towards some biggie milestones. There is still time.....just remember to have fun while you're on the journey!

This morning was my last row of the season before going out of town. Couldn't quite make it to 2MM, so 1969, the year of the first lunar landing, seemed an appropriate 2nd choice, that still was a bit of a stretch. All the best to my fellow team members. Now it's time to party like it's 1,999,999.

Image Wowzer, mates! Just completed a course in Bicycle Facilities Design offered up through our Colorado Department of Transportation. Now I know a lot more about bike paths, signal lights, elevated crosswalks, etc. Good to know when one works with that sort of thing! Rowing and posting hours are a bit erratic this week as the West Line Bikeway opens in tandem with the new FasTracks light rail system that takes people from Golden to Denver. Bikes are allowed on the train, so if you get too tired of riding....there's an option! Bike Jeffco is helping host the celebration on Saturday, so it is likely that the postings will be at an odd hour then, too.

Did capture the numbers early, early this AM. Delighted to see so many people making a good finish to their year! Keep plugging away at those meters! You'll get there!

Season meters as of 358/365 = 163,373,651 m

Total meters on the day = 4,539,367 m (astrogator faints upon seeing these kinds of numbers)

As of 4/25 (Anzac Day :!: ) the count was 227. I was a little under the weather yesterday, so no meters :( . With 4 days left I guess I should try for 230 just to make a nice round number :?

Congrats to Laurie on her very first Full Marathon.

Was there voodoo involved, or was the excitement of a couple of Bourne movies all you needed to finish!??
