Thanks for the welcome Izzymeister! Got your PM but can't replay. Guess I need to earn the "key's so to speak. Thanks for the clarification on the two teams. I thought I clicked save when I put TimbukToo into the affiliation however I may not have. I went back and redid it so hopefully I am added now. Let me know if I'm not.

A little brag (if that's ok to do here) I didn't find rowing until the end of October and due to other issue's I had about a 6 week break and was able to start rowing again in the middle of January. I managed to get over 217,000 meters rowed on the Erg for the month of Feb. I crossed over the half million mark sometime last week.

Thanks!

Pam

Only a 6 week break for surgery-wow-you're tougher than I am. It was 6 months after my surgery before I could think about doing stuff.

Hooray!! Now I can sleep better knowing you won't be in danger of drowning if you take a tumble off the erg.  :P Let us know how your on-the-water class goes!

Pam, we absolutely approve of posting bragging rights stuff, PRs, race results, and all manner of rowing and other physical fitness and health accomplishments! Those are some pretty impressive numbers for someone new to rowing!

Thursday numbers to be posted a bit later, I'm off for a run now.

And BTW, I may have inadvertently introduced a bug into the stats capture program earlier this week, so please alert me if your numbers posted this week have been incorrect. THANKS!!

I had been running 60-80 mile weeks until summer time and still doing a lot of running and biking when I started having issue's. Pretty sure that's why I was able to get back to doing lots of rowing when I was giving the all clear to start. I'm still waiting for the all clear to run but that may be a while

Let the Mad Marchness begin!! And another big welcome shout-out to new rowing family members Grace and Meg McCabe, who I'm guessing are here to keep Michael honest about his numbers! :P Welcome aboard, ladies!! March is off to a roaring start, with 17 of 70 members (24%) logging 170,863 total meters Friday!

Our military men should be back on board after a couple of days when their challenge officially ends. Our David placed third overall in the individual results with 602k, leading all Marines!! (For some reason, I can't find Joseph Wyatt's numbers!?)

Not too late to get going on the March Madness Challenge! Just row 5k or more for 25 of the 31 days of March. This is an individual challenge.

Milestones achieved:
Jim sailed past 3.6M, Mark hammered 1.5M, and Jeff blasted 600K!!

Approaching milestones:
Adam is roaring towards 2.3M (-24,020m), Gary is soon to clear 1.5M (-14,513m), Kevin is adding it all up for 1.1M (-29,969m), Cindy is shivering at the thought of 800K (-27,283m), Mike is closing on 700K (-38,397m), Pamela is sighting 600K (-30,717m), Michael is on approach to 400K (-23,309m), Grace is about to top 15K (-774m), with Meg on her heels (-8,867m). Go Duke! :P

Yes, my wife Meg and daughter Grace (12 years old) have decided to join in for the challenge (and hopefully beyond).

I started rowing at the end of January, 5 days a week in my company's fitness room. Quickly became an obsession.

When the snow blower broke during the blizzard a few weeks back, we found money in the budget for a replacement. However, I went online and bought a model D instead. :D So now I can row whenever I get the urge!

Now, here's a family with its priorities in the right order! Great purchase! Now you just have to work on your family relationship skills so you don't fight over the rower. I recommend a sign-up sheet. :P

"On the rowed again" is RIGHT!

Being that this is March Madness I thought I would kick off the month with a new personal 5K record!
