May the OCD Gods smile down upon you. Good man!

Of course, I may have been inclined to row 78 meters, just to tempt the Gods :D

Give it a try-the only thing to gain is more meters (and don't forget the larger waistline).

-Andy, Good to hear your wife is OK..may she get well soon! I must be a wimp, I trimmed my nails yesterday and thought that was "minimally invasive"

I ended up taking THREE days off this week... We had cross training at work involving a jackhammer, wheelbarrows, and shovels. Poor scheduling during the challenge :) Just couldn't haul myself onto the erg after work, see posts about getting old a couple pages ago. Back to full power now and ready for the stretch run!(or row)
I'm from Vermont...I'll do what I want

See what I did there? I started with serious and then closed with an inside joke.
LOL I see what you did there and I believe I recall the reference :-)

Glad it all went well, hoping for ultra-speedy recuperation!

Row team, row! Row like you've got this guy on your tail!!!

(OK, this is only vaguely rowing-related, but I thought it was a kick-ass photo. It's not shopped, either! Here's the story...)

I am glad things went well for your wife Andy. I hope she fully recovers soon. Congrats on the PR (I agree with you on the short rows being killer), and I wish you good success in your upcoming race!

I think the maple syrup does help. The Canadian team is 350K or so ahead of us-or maybe it's just dedication and hard work
Oh,well, at least I'm looking at making my goal-I had motivation problems lately and wasn't sure if I'd make it or not.

AI, Glad all went well, I assume my one solitary lonely funny joke put her in a positive frame of mind... Ask for cash all you want - just don't get sore when we send none... I'm sure SWEAT will be no sweat! Glad you're racing, I think I'm doing Cincy the next week. (Did a hard 2K for the first time in months, just broke 6:56, so 10s off last year but not embarrassing, esp. if I can knock off a few more seconds over the next 2 weeks.) You really trained hard for this sucker, you made fast & steady progress, so bowl them over! YH

Erg scores are the litmus test of rowing with sub7 getting the nod of approval. You could also look at erg scores as if they were wheat and chaff collected on the threshing room floor. The sub7 is cherished while the other scores are burned off or fed to livestock.

Izz, I want to be part of your club! Good luck in Cincy!!! I look forward to reading about your adventure.

I'll be playing the role of chaff for the 30-39 heavyweight category at SWEAT. When I started out 5 months ago with a 2k time of 9 minutes (likely inflated by a complete ignorance of how to push myself), I thought I'd be sub7 very quickly. My last 2k was 7:40 and my last 500m was 1:42. I think a little rest and the race atmosphere might get me to 7:30.
