I tweaked my knee while out hunting yesterday. I almost took the day off, but instead decided to alternate between arms only and rowing with my bum leg resting on a ball. I tried my best, but could only muster 7k. I will say that 'arms only' really helped me focus on establishing a good rowing posture: sit proud!

I felt great today and attempted an 8x500 at race pace. I couldn't hold it the last two intervals. That's a first.

I love the posts on warm-up and rest. I didn't take either one seriously until I started the Wolverine Plan. I find that I am waaaaaaay less sore if I stick to the rather long cool downs prescribed in the plan. I can't get full power without a warm up and even then it needs to include a couple of power 10's.

I don't stretch and feel zero desire to. I think I could be more flexible and enjoy the benefits of a longer stroke, but I just don't want to make time for stretching.

Hope your tweak is untweaked soon! Better tweaking a knee then shooting yourself in the foot (I lived across the hall from a crew guy in college who did that. We called him Gunslinger Springer from then on. He still made it to the 84 and 92 Olympics though!)

Wait till you hit my advanced age. You may need the stretching then!!! I don't do it nearly as much as I should.

Yup...I missed the erg while visiting family in the icebox that is Utah for the holidays. But now I'm back and back at it again.

Put me down for 300k for the challenge. I'll have to get after it, since I missed a few days.

Excellent, Dale! Too bad there wasn't an erg there. Maybe you could have been initiated into the TimBukTOO Polar Bear Club...

Actually, a first row. There was a 12am row on RowPro for 5K, and a 1am row for 17K. So I did the 5 in a little over 19 minutes, then did a 6K in the waiting period, then rowed the 17K with two dudes from the British Commonwealth. I'm paying for it now...
Tomorrow' s total may look humongous though.

Humongous like David W. and Kyle J. sick with the flu, or really humongous like a regular day for either one of them?

Ugh. Flu season! Woke up this morning with chills and aches - probably not getting a row in today. Hopefully will feel better tomorrow!
Hope everyone is staying healthy and taking your vitamins!
Cheers,
