Rockin' way to start off, man! That and Izz's method of staying up past midnight just to get TimBukTWO on the board first... :P

I'm off to try the "Hummingbird Jedi Mind-Trick" method of attaining 15k. :D

Row strong, team!

Well..I have to just stop by and make a correction..I placed the first meters on the board to make TimbukTWO a ranking phenomenon..LOL.I had a meager few but gave us a good start, so IZZ..I m afraid you weren't quite fast enough.LOLOL
I checked and monitored the New Year beginning.I may place last this year but made a post party attempt at first for a moment..

Hey Strangers!

Mark S. here and I'm back for the team challenge and looking forward to racking up some meters. As some of you know, I do a lot of road cycling so rowing takes the backseat most of the year. I've also been distracted a lot in the past year with my photography. If you're interested in photography, here's my Flickr page http://www.flickr.com/photos/marksinderson/ as well as my blog http://www.marksphotographyspot.com

Now that we are in the coldest part of the winter my rowing picks up a bit. My unofficial goal is 100k meters for the challenge but we'll see what happens with work and life in general. Pam (my wife) will probably contribute a few meters to the total as well so look for some numbers from her every few days.

Looking forward to contributing to the team total again this year.

Aha!!! You're the meter-genie!! :D Well done, Pat! I admire you night owls. I was in bed by 10:30 and slept through the neighborhood fireworks at midnight, thanks to ear-plugs. :P

And welcome back to Mark, one of our seasonal rowers! Any meters is good meters. Seems we have multiple photographers in our midst -- very cool!

5k down... Back for more...

I'll set a modest goal of 200k for the team challenge. Assuming I stay healthy, that should be achievable.

I wasn't even 2nd - John Lemley had that distinction. BUT, my row did put TimbukTWO in 1st Place for a few minutes! (AND I found out my speed work needs a lot of help before the February race...)

Amen to that, Brother! I can't stand doing the shorter rows at a ranking pace.

Keep up the great rowing!

The Rolleicord is a great camera! I really enjoy shooting with it and developing the film to see the results. In the world of rowing equipment I guess it would be like owning a Concept II Model A, a classic piece of equipment that still works great!

What would that make my GX680 then? Apart from a really big camera :)

Yes, Rachel, you did join us for the challenge, and we're glad you're along for the ride!
Should we mark that 100K as a public goal, or is that just what you're hoping for?
