Congratulations David, on reaching 5 MILLION METERS for the season, SO FAR!!! You rock so much I think we could carve a president's face on you.

And team, we are only $0.66, a measly sixty-six cents, from reaching our $150 goal for the Holiday Challenge! You ALL rock!

This challenge has been fun for me. This year's meter tally may be the highest I've ever reached in this challenge, which is cool just for that, but even cooler is how fit I feel. I'm psyched about it and I plan to carry this effort through the team challenge in January.

Getting a little crazy here: put me down for 110K for the challenge, please.

Our team has so many amazing rowers! I dont know how you can sit on the erg seat for that long!!

Well, with three little kids here, Tuesday is goIng to be a BIG day in our little house. I've got a lot of prep work to do before then, so I am outta here! Off to the erg I go to get motivated for the day!

Have a good one, teammates!

'Backdraft' is part of the Selective Service System and will only be engaged in the event that we can't find suitable volunteers for the VTC!

Thanks everyone, it has not without some pain. But as we all know " no pain no gain" or as I like it "pain is weakness leaving the body". Every one have a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year!!!!!!

No oops faces required... I love the "fur kids" concept --- Sounds like great and important service work! Feel better soon, Pat!

Good lord. You need to get out more ;) Plus, 92 odd k in a day? Legendary....

Best words I've read all week just popped up on my screen
You can expect delivery of your pin in February.
Joking apart, that little holiday challenge probably made me row 50 - 75K more this month than I would have done. Roll on the virtual team challenge!

Shhh... don't give him ideas about getting away from the erg.... and while David's daily numbers can be staggering, I'm pretty sure the 92k was a multi-day entry.

I did it! I did it! I finished the 200k challenge! Yipee! Yipee! Ohboyohboyohboy... pant pant pant.... Where was I? Oh yeah...I did it! I finished...

I also passed my 8M lifetime meters the other day, but because I saw it coming a few weeks ago, I didn't notice when I passed it. (And why should I? Compared to where I should have been by now--according to the best laid plans of mice and men--c'est la vie)

Congratulations to all on reaching YOUR goals for the challenge and/or for 2012 (not to mention the stupendous achievements of David Superman Welch--boy, in another day and time it would have been scary watching David and Pat go at it!)

Speaking of which, ONTO the next challenge, in which last year many of us won the coveted Iron Ass award! (Am I right in thinking that rowing is the only sport you can get buns of steel by sitting on them?)

For now, best wishes to all Timbuktooians for the holiday season!

Heather.

Haha, burning off the chevre! So true, so true.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat as Andy (the one that's not moving! ). No meters today, although I *hope* to post some tomorrow. We'll see.

Merry Christmas to all- even my non-celebrating teammates. I hope you have a great Tuesday!

-Cindy
