My first ever half marathon and my back has been regretting it ever since but I should be good to row my standard set on Wednesday. Oh well no pain no gain! I was good up until about 15K which is a vast improvement over this spring l when I could barely make it to 8K before my back would start to complain. I didn't want to miss out on the Skeleton Crew Challenge and what else is there to do during a hurricane. Now if we could get Concept2 to integrate an electric generator we could have a backup power source to run the TV when the power goes out.

As for rowing, I think having been in a motorcycle accident and rowing as part of my rehab has actually improved my overall health. Granted I still suffer aches and pains related to the accident, but I've lost weight and my heart and lungs are strong than ever.

I’d like to thank this team for being a constant source of motivation, our administrators for all their hard work doing the daily numbers and Concept2’s for its full calendar of Challenges!

When I first started I could barely complete 2000 meters a couple of time per month. So far this year I’ve completed seven challenges, made it to the million meter club, completed a half marathon and I’m on track for a million meter season. Not looking forward to a full marathon… Just Saying!

Thanks again,
Peter G

Congrats Peter G. , way to row! Congrats to all the Skeleton Crew Challenge rowers also :)
I received my 15 million meter shirt from C2 last week and it is really nice and well made. Looking forward to 20 sometime in the future.
Had the flu last week and I am having a rough time trying to row for more than 15 minutes. Guess I will build back up again.
Sending best wishes and good outcomes to all on the East coast and area. Truly an awful storm.

trying to catch up... between not receiving the notices from concept 2 and being away to run a marathon and spacing out, i've fallen behind...very fortunate that i made it through sandy without any problems...always had my power and no trees or wires were downed...is that a word????near me.....it's heartbreaking to read and see all of the destruction....hope every one is safe.....and congrats and woooo hoooo to all for the milestones that i missed :}

As I look at the pictures of destruction in NYC and the other Atlantic Coast areas, I count myself very lucky. The wind predicted for our area, did not come to pass. We only lost power momemtarily and the state as a whole suffered very little from this storm. I hope those of you out there closer to the storm's wrath have fared well and are safe and sound.
Da Do Ron Ron
Was very lucky where I am in Maine as well. Monday we only got some wind and sporatic rain. Today (Tuesday) we've had some interesting thunderstorms with heavy rain off and on, but lucky enough to not even lose power.

Would also like to send out a huge congrats to Peter G. on your first even half marathon!

Wow… thank you everyone of the congrats and well wishes! I just wanted all of you to know how much the support of this team has meant to me. And the tremendous health benefit I have achieved from rowing.

I know I’m not on the board very often but knowing I’m on the team and that my meters matter makes all the difference. Congrats to all of you who have achieved milestones, especially those crazy teammates that knock off marathons and 100K rows like its a walk in the park, you’re an inspiration to all of us.
