Only 6k because I did a 16 mile bike ride also. Most o the days I don't post #'s are due to actually being on the water-much nicer than sitting on the erg :) I'm getting ready to do the Hudson River Challenge (George Washington Bridge to the Tappan Zee bridge-going upstream of course) so I need to get as much time on the water as I can.

Mark-
You should post your OTW meters. It has been awhile since I read the fine print, but I don't think C2 even requires that your indoor meters be on a C2. I'm not sure they'd care what type of shell you used OTW.

I think we start the rowlympics tomorrow. I'm in for gold, but will be starting slow.

Thanks,
I've known for a while about posting the on the water stuff my only thing is how to figure out distances-don't want to post an incorrect figure. Sad thing is I have gotten a gps unit thingy (that's a technical term, btw) , but am having trouble figuring out how to use it. Once I learn how to use it I can get my distances.

I think a fair estimate would be to take your best 500m split time, divide your OTW row time by that and multiply back by 500m to get your distance. So if your Blackburn challenge time was about 4:35:00 and your PB was, say, 1:45.0, that would give you 78,571 meters. Checking that, divide by 1609 meters per mile, your challenge was... 48 miles. Yup! Perfect!! B)

Let the games begin!! And check out the leaderboard... Someone already has a gold medal; having rowed 30 hours in the first (less than) 24 hours of the challenge!! :o I guess his erg doubles as a time machine!!

I just figured out how much is necessary to row daily to get a gold -- yikes!!! I don't know if I can do it. I think it works out to over an hour a day... I regret that I might have to bring home a silver or bronze for the team...

I'm going for a silver as well, Lisa. I only row on weekdays for about an hour a day, and there are 11 weekdays in the challenge period.

Just hit my first million for the season; three million and change lifetime. Set two PBs this week, so I had a good week. But three times this week I tried to set a new PB for the 1000m and three times I fizzled out, so I'm a little bummed about that. Maybe next week!
