My bunny trail was looking at pictures of Brits in Union Jack dresses and red/white/blue bowler hats. Elizabeth II has been queen since 1952, and I have a picture of me as a 2-year old, waving a flag as she passed by on her way to her coronation. ■This is an individual challenge. (You do not need to belong to a team to participate.)
■Meters must be entered online.
■Indoor rower, SkiErg, on water and on snow meters count. You can combine meters to reach 21,000 meters.
Season meters as of 32/365 = 15,291,340 m (Woot! 15 million team meters!)

Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
K2,
Sorry no full moons. I just forgot to upload my workouts for a couple of days and you thought I was resting or on vacation or something. There was 1 HM and 2 Half moons in there. Loved the last bunny trail.
Last week-end I watched a Ted Nuggent outdoor show and went down my own bunny hole on Sunday. Archery seemed like a good new hobby so I spent the day researching different types of bows; compound, recurve and cross. Seems like there are dozens of manufacturers and each has scores of models. So know I know more than I did, but now I am more confused than ever.
Bring on the Solstice Row!

Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
Geez, it’s getting a bit colder over here, nothing like our North American friends experience I guess!
Tapering back a touch this week as I have my 90 kilometre walk coming up on Saturday, not sure how long it will take, only be walking (no running!) with a 10 kg back-pack for water. There is one section where we can’t be guaranteed a water supply so will take about 8 litres at the start. We are thinking 15-18 hours as there is some hill climbing, but won’t be surprised if it is more, would be surprised if it was less.
Either way should be walking into Saturday night so looking forward to that even if it is a bit cold, will be taking thermals in any case. And regardless of the weather I’m going for a swim at Merewether Ocean pool on Sunday morning to relax the muscles!
http://surfhouse.com.au/ If you click on the 8am & 11am time on the web page (down the bottom) it shows a great picture of the beach - when I'm in Newcastle we train right there on the beach, the ocean pool is just to the right of the rocks. We are normally down before sunrise, and there are the die-hards in the pool at that time. And it looks just as spectacular as the photo shows, beats the 'shed' for training - hands-down!
The walk is a little bit more than the last third of the Great North Walk which we did a couple of years back. Our route will take us into the Watagan Mountains (small mountain range) and when we come back down we head north-east to Newcastle with the last section taking us along the beach.
I’ll be taking my Spot tracker and it can be tracked at the following link.

More adventures, moonbows
Wowzer, Baz - knew it was about time for your walk, but didn't realize that it was going to be a twin full moons plus some. That's a lot of hoofing. If brother in law Ray is going on this trek, you know he'll get even....
And in the skies over Hawaii tonight, there is a lunar rainbow....also known as a moonbow. Moonbows (or space rainbows or white rainbows) are produced when light is reflected off the surface of the moon rather than direct sunlight. I had not heard of these before. Ethan Tweedie captured this shot in the skies above Waimea on the big island of Hawaii. Very cool stuff - and definitely terminology to add to our lunar vocabulary.
Btw, I did capture today's numbers but in the interest of time and space...I'll put them together with tomorrow's stats. And welcome back for the 2013 rowing season to Pat B!
