Today is my 31st wedding anniversary! I was going to row 31,000 to commemorate, but we have other things to do today (and a nice dinner at The Olde Pink House in Savannah, GA) so that's not going to happen. I will row, but it's not going to be 31,000, instead it will be a follow up to my weight training. Still a good way to start the day though. :)
Congratulations!

(maybe 3100 m ? )

All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 5.2.12

Post by Kona2 » May 3rd, 2012, 6:51 pm

Day 2 of the New Year finds us with 64 teammates! Way to row, everyone! And Peter H has figured out how to do something that I don't think many know how to do....get on the roster without registering meters! How did you do that? (I mean, of course I'm glad to see your name, but I really want to know the secret...).

Image Half marathons filled the stats board as Rivka, Sarah, Sam, Rosi and Danno all mooned us.

Season meters as of 2/365 = 1,303,365 m (the first million is in the team meter bank!)

Total meters on the day = 581,713 m

Oars in space (participation) = 80 percent (astrogator faints)

No, ACL not repaired yet. Have to fit surgery and recovery between travel, etc. :(
But one can erg w/o ACL :).

Happy rowing!

Andrea
P.S. All meters I entered today are small workouts from last Concept2 year.
I do not think Kona will see them as they were added to last year and the grand total only...
I had to enter them manually as I missed the automatic upload deadline on April 30 :(.

Thank you everyone for the congratulations on our 31st anniversary! And congratulations to all of you who are also celebrating yours. There were some tough years in between, but on this side of our lives together (the side with no children at home, and grandchildren to spoil  ) it really is better than ever.
(And to those of you who might be speculating...no, I wasn't 14 when I got married! I'm older than I look. In fact I'm six days older than my husband and he doesn't let me forget it. He sometimes asks me how I feel that day because he wants to know how he'll be feeling next week. :? Yeah, he thinks he's hilariious).

Went for a run today after my weight workout, instead of rowing, and the humidity kicked my butt! Ugh, Georgia is hot already! Summer has arrived too soon, we really need some rain. I'm going to have to get out to my gym before 7am to get my rows in before it gets too hot out there.

Okay, please forgive my ignorance on this topic, but what exactly are we trying to achieve in our Lunatics row to the moon challenge for this season? I wasn't part of the team when you guys first did it, so I am not really sure of the details. Thanks!
