Woohoo! My volunteer assignment at the Women's Final Four is complete, and so are a couple of pet-sitting for friends "assignments."

Season meters as of 337 and 338/366 = 189,253,824 m

Total meters on the day = 629,922 (day 337) and 765,367 (day 338) m

Oars in space (participation) = 29 percent, and 28 percent

That's awesome, Ron! Could you say it's a sesquicentennial of HMs? Great job.

Sweet Ron,

I think that might even beat 27 and my effort a few years ago. We had a dang awfull competition to see who could do the most HMs. If memory serves 27 edged me out by 1 or 2! I think she told me she was taking the week-end off so I did but she rowed, hence 1 or 2 up. Anyway Congrats!

Dear Lunies,

I was off the erg a lot this year, lately due to a knee injury during skiing...
Doctor says I can row if I have no pain, so I will try to get in a few meters soon. MRI scheduled for tomorrow.

Just signed up with Sorin for the World Erg challenge to contribute meters, likely not too many right now :(.
I did not upload for some time, so the first batch is mostly from way back, Kona...

Will try to catch up with milestones and everything, but I know you all did wonderful things!
It's great to be back!

Happy rowing!

Andrea

Ron,
I think the cool thing is that you've reached an impressive milestone - and, like many of our rowing accomplishments, we often have no clue at the start of the rowing season that we're going there! The whole season is an open opportunity - and we're about to turn the dial to a new rowing year. So great that we can surprise ourselves with our accomplishments. I haven't gone back to count how many full marathons you've completed this year - but it's a bunch of them!

And, btw , last year Minnie completed over 220 half marathons.....There were times when I tried to keep track of how many HMs were flying by from Danno and Minnie and others at that time ... But so many of our team throw those big meter numbers out there that I just get blown away. I get a kick out of the whole thing - all the fun numbers, the repeater numbers, and especially how the different team personalities start to surface.

Every season is different - especially when life intervenes. There are many things that will be remembered in this season - and many of them are all about how much support and encouragement team members have provided to each other.

16 MM meters...wow!!! Way to row, everyone! :D

Welcome and thanks for rowing with us to all 120 of our WEC teammates! Row what you can when you can - it's all good stuff!

Incredible number of milestones to report out for the challenge. We have 84 teammates of the 120 who have passed the first 50K milestone (sadly, I am not one of them ... yet!). Hooboy! This is a great challenge to use to get ready for the first individual challenge of the coming 2013 rowing year...the Global Marathon Challenge (you can do a half or a full to meet its requirements!).

WEC MILESTONES:

750 K Walter

600 K Cathie, Jay
