Hey! An honest-to-goodness rowing movie!! Not just some shots of a boat in the background or the Winkelvoss twins training in The Social Network... Woo-hoo!
Concept2 Rowing wrote: WHO'S EXCITED!? Sneak preview of this summer's BIGGEST rowing movie of the year (just in time for the Olympics!), BACKWARDS featuring James Van Der Beek and a lot of rowing...

Oh, and a lot of C2 product placement...

This little bird has an injured wing--a recurring wrist injury that comes out of the blue and incapacitates me for a few days and then makes things difficult for up to a week afterwards. I won't exactly say that someone cursed me with that jibe about rowing with one hand last week... I managed 10K today but I won't be pushing it until the WEC.

Welcome back to our military men, and a hearty cheer for the new members.

Sorry to hear about that Heather, I hope you heal quickly. I am nursing a pinched nerve in my upper back, and it is a slow recovery for some reason, unlike other back problems I've had in the past.

As far as goals for the upcoming challenge, my overarching goal for the rest of this 2012 season is to add another ~540k meters. This will get me up to 2 million lifetime meters by the end of the 2012 season. If my back heals up, I'll try to rank a 1k and a 4 minute row, and try to improve my 500 meter ranking. Otherwise everything else is right where I had hoped it would be by this time in the 2012 season.

Best wishes to you all for the rest of the season, and in the upcoming challenge.

Thank you all for the congratulations--nice to see the big lights! :D Also for the commiserations; I've healed enough that I mainly have to wear the brace to stop myself doing something stupid...like carrying heavy grocery bags   Life doesn't let up for other responsibilities though, does it? Like shoveling snow when you've already got a pinched nerve? Must admit, I cringed when I read that, and I wasn't too surprised to read shortly afterwards about the heating pad. I sincerely hope it settles down quickly. No one who hasn't had back trouble can know how incredibly miserable it makes every little thing you do.

I'm going to take another couple of days off; my efforts of yesterday and today have proven I'm pushing fate, here.

All the best to those still managing to keep up with the March challenge--is anyone focusing on it?

David W. and I are sitting in the lead on the March Madness 2012 10,000m Progress Board. I haven't decided if I'll keep this pace through the WEC or not.

Cool...didn't even know I crossed 1.2. Just joined up for the next challenge, not sure how many meters I am going to post since the TM is coming up, the weather is breaking and I will be doing more running than rowing.
