hopefully this link will work...file:///Users/barbaragrandberg/Desktop/(54)%20Love%20Your%20Liver%20Run.webarchive
i'm not as computer savvy as some of you....the photo is from this past saturday's love your liver 16.2 mile long run...
Sadly enough, you can't link to a file on your local computer. You'll have to upload it somewhere. The easiest is to just "Upload attachment" when you enter a post (it's the tab next to options, underneath the "Save draft/Preview/Submit" buttons. There are nicer ways of doing it by hosting the file somewhere, but a simply attachment is the easiest.
Welcome Bogie, and gratz on the HM Rebecca. It's quite an accomplishment to get through your first HM. I'm not sure if I should try a FM or not. I want to, but I'm dreading even trying.
.
And finally: Way to go Jim! Always an inspiration!
Wim (attempting to get back into rowing shape).

Welcome Mr Bogie, congratulation Jim and those on the IDITA walk, and Rebecca on the HM.
Good weekend to all, looks like a wet weekend coming up in Sydney. TomO is up for softball tomorrow, and Mum said she is relaxing!
And did I see a marmite/vegemite discussion!
Cheers, BBB

Woohoo! That takes a few meters to do, Ron! Did you start using the log card system after you'd accumulated some millions of meters? I keep a spare log card - don't know if others do this - but have had some rare log card implosions that just couldn't seem to fix.

And....this is how it starts....marathon fever. It's quite contagious...goes viral through a team ! In fact, noted that Jerry has sent a FULL marathon moon into orbit over Florida for today's postings. We have several teammates who routinely do full marathons, and some of us who only do them when we catch the fever. The Global Marathon Challenge is slated for for the first two weeks of May 2012. During that time, individuals can row a half or full marathon to meet the Challenge. Would be great to hear from those who have completed the marathon distance about how best to prepare for completion of this distance. We have a couple of months to get ready....

Awesome, indeed, Boston Barb! All those HMs, tucked neatly between your cross training for road marathons. You rock!

Welcome to the team Mr Bogie, one newbie to another...
Congratulation to all those who completed half marathons and to Jim on the IDITA Walk, the BSA is such a great organization!
50 HMs... that's impressive Barb! Way to go!!!
I'll be psyched to complete my 1st HM! Would be interested in any advice on how to prepare for those distances?

I read somewhere on the forum that if you can do 10K, several times in a row, you are ready for a HM.
Also, if you can do a few consecutive HMs comfortably, then a full marathon is on your bucket list.
Or, maybe I made this up, it was some time ago! The bottom line was "just do it."

Back it up to a *.LCB file using the C2 Utility. Empty it with the utility and you're good to go.
You can extract the *.LCB files to spread sheets or upload to your logbook, just like you can with the card. The only time I've had a new card is when I've had a physical failure of the chip or the card (the chip came unstuck from one card).

There is also a decent training guide right through the concept 2 website. It's under the training: training programs, it's set up for a full marathon but I've still found it helpful while preparing for the half marathon I just rowed. Do have to admit consistant 10k's do help as well, at least for me.
