Hmm...not much interest in the 30 minute team row. Is it due to the time, the day, or did I just forget to take a shower again?

If it's the time...we could set one up for later in the day, otherwise I'll just row all by myself today :(

With me it's the time -- my husband isn't even up yet and the rower would disturb him.

RowPro looks interesting though, may need to check it out. How many TimBukTOOians are using it? But I don't think I could load it and get it going for a group row today, but it might be kinda neat to set one up each week or something.

(I wasn't going to mention the shower thing... ;) )

We're making good progress, team!! We've blazed a trail through the Florida panhandle, and have now turned south!! Nice work!!!

Image

We spent the night just south of Lake City. Along the way, this little guy tried to join us, but as he couldn't manage an oar, we sent him on his way.

From here it's 155 miles to Orlando, but we can do better today! Can we make it to the coast? Those warm Atlantic waves are beckoning!!

OK, I'm still interested in some sort of team row to cap this thing off. I'm guessing that lots of folks probably row after work, which makes it difficult to have the east and west coast available at the same time, so how about this: since Tuesday is the last day of the challenge, how about an east to west coast relay? Set up 3 30 minute sessions, each one hour apart. That way the east-coasters can start us off, the mountain folk can do the middle bit, and us westies can bring it on home.

Heck, Tyrone could lead us off a day in advance!

I'm up for that, it should give me time to load the demo version and figure things out. I'm home all day so I could join a different time zone row too...

It honestly wasn't too bad. I know I've trained well for it, but I was expecting much worse. After running a marathon a few years ago I was broken for days afterwards, I was expecting something similar but I only have mild discomfort in my shoulders and (apologies....) backside.

I went for a 3 stop strategy of stopping at 10.5, 21 and 31.5k to take on water/ energy gels, but I'm already considering rowing another in March on a 4 stop plan (resting every 8.4k) as I felt weak approaching the original sub-total. I would welcome any other Team members insight and experience though!!
