My goal is to get there before June 5!

QUOTE

I guess this is a personal best, heh, it’s my 1st 30 min row with 4808 meters, 03:07, 21 s/m.

Landlocked - Congratulations on your first 30 minute row! My first 30 minute row was 4642 meters. When I got off the rower I thought I was gonna die and told my husband that this machine kicks my butt. Funny though, every day I still say it kicks my butt, but somehow I find myself rowing six days a week!

QUOTE

Good heavens! Like having your birthday every day. I can't even imagine it! You go girl!

Carla - Actually, Monday was my husband's birthday and he said that seeing me rowing so hard was the best birthday present I could have possibly given him. Your advice has really helped with improving my technique. Also I realize I am still on a learning curve and soon my times will stop dropping so quickly, but I am enjoying it while it lasts!

QUOTE

You're on a roll Kathi! Thanks for the well wishes. I'm doing a bit better....still kind of rough, but I got on the rower a bit ago and did 1526. Really slow, but i was totally winded and needed to get off. I think if I feel up to it I'll get on again later today and try to get some more meters in. Maybe I'll get up to your meters Kathi!

Snappy - I'm sure as you are totally well you will be flying by my meters very quickly!

Well, I had another great day on Sunday with another 3 new pb's!!!

I did a 500m at 2:09.0, then after a substantial break, I rowed a 6k at 30:21.9, followed immediately by a 30 minute row with 5777 meters. I followed this with a very slow just row with another 5038m. This is the most meters I have rowed in one workout yet!

Most of my ranked times are now in the upper 70 percentile now, whereas when I started a little over a month ago, they were all in the 90's.

Way to go girl! You've been really flying these days! And doing some pretty long workouts too! I'm a bit afraid of the 500 at this point...I did sprint out the end of the 5k last night though, so maybe sometime this week I'll attempt it!

Well, I finally did it! I broke my 5K time tonight. How about 23:24.2??!!
I was beginning to think I'd never break that one. My last PB was way back in September. My "assignment" tonight was to be under 25. Won't Helga be proud?

Hey Harly! The ball's in your court! When you beat me, you can keep the record! This one liked to kill me! I think I'll stick with slow, steady long pieces.

Time for bed!
The Buffle

Buffle, can't wait to hear about your novice class! Hope you'll have a nice warm, pretty day! What time of day will you do it?

Well, set a PB....Rowed a 5k tonight of 27:13.3 which put me at 87% or 102 of 117 of my group!

Previously I had rowed 29:04.6 and was somewhere around 99%. Yay!

Anyway, I felt like I could have done more, but I'm still proud! Love being a newbie!

Anyway, the boards have been quiet lately, haven't they? Where is everyone? I've started posting on the regular training boards too because there's not much chatter over here. Miss the gals though.

Hey - great improvement snappy!
It's fun to watch those times come down, isn't it?
As for the novice class, it runs for seven weeks. Saturdays are from 8 to 10 am, and Tuesdays and Thursdays are 6 to 8 pm. That ought to keep me out of trouble for a while!
Later,
Buffle

Got a new pb today: 11542M 60:00.0 which puts me at 57 of 78 - 73% for my group! I added 135M to my previous pb 60 minute row.
