Iron ass award-way too funny! I just realized how nuts I am. Took another day off yesterday, got rowing this morning, broke 500K and started feeling like I wasn't doing enough for the team cause I took a day off to recover a bit.
311.03 miles rowed in 3 weeks or so and here I am thinking I'm a slug    . Who the hell brainwashed me??

Hi everyone,

I really like the challenges, and hope by joining the team I'll keep erging in the following months too :D .
The reason I erg is I do Taekwondo, but as my body has gotten older I find that I need something low impact to keep injuries away!
I have a model C at home, have probably owned it since 1994, but have not been using the online logbook consistently. Hopefully this will change now.

Ulla

P.S. I'm originally from Sweden and grew up sailing in the summers. Miss the ocean!!!

Definitely an "inside job", Mark....

Welcome Ulla!!! We're so glad to have you on board, and very glad to see you've joined the affiliation as well!! It has made all the difference for me to keep rowing. And we could definitely use some more estrogen here to balance these bad boys out...

No more Snoopy today, Heather? Wondering what the head-in-the-sand means..... Loved Chris's graphic!! :D

We got a little head of steam back up yesterday after recharging our tanks with David. Blazed our way through Dallas and did make it halfway to Louisiana. Nice work everyone!!!

Image

The view coming in to Dallas was stunning, but we didn't have time for a tour of the downtown -- too many miles to cover!!

Image

At 107 miles to Shreveport, that's waaayyyy too easy a goal today. Let's make it at least to Monroe, LA -- 203 miles -- or better yet, the shores of the great Mississippi River -- 276 miles. Totally doable, team!!! Row strong!!!!

Yes, but I believe that Shreveport is home to the Marathon Rowing Championships on Cane River Lake. Also, we could play craps at one of their many casinos. I'm not really motivated to row past such a place.

Here's an "unofficial" welcome, but we're thrilled to have you! You've really been doing great in the VTC, rowing over 200K this month! That's a lot of hard work, and we salute the energy you've put into this!
So, a huge welcome to Team TimbukTOO, and we hope we can help you reach your fitness goals!

That is very thoughtfull when I see so many of the Rowers on this team meeting the goals and exceeding That is just as outstanding !!!! And no one is stopping once the goal is met... I will be moving from this team once this challenge is over..... i am going to join the Military Challenge and see if i can give the USMC team a Boost..... But once that challenge is over.... I will be back....
Feat strapped in, seat firmly planted, hands on the handles, ready now rock away........ What a great Team!!!!!!!!!
It's been hard enough for me to reach half your goal, so you have me saluting for sure!

It's easy to sneak away without us even noticing - stay with TimbukTOO as an Affiliation, just change your Team on the Teams page at the beginning of the military challenge, and change it back when it's over. As a non-military team, TimbukTWO will be dormant in February, so your absence will not be noted - but we can still watch you smash through 5 million on our Affiliations page.
