Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Well, guys and gals, get comfy in those boots and hats, cuz looks like we're gonna be here in Texas for a spell.... Now, it does have upsides -- no beating that Texas barbecue!! But we've got a date with some pristine white sands down in Miami!!! Yesterday got us to 8,115,560 meters, or 5,040 miles, for an overnight stay just outside of Wichita Falls in Henrietta, TX.
We're getting some mighty curious looks as we paddle down the 287, including from these two fine fellows outside Electra.
It's only 124 miles to Dallas!! Let's hit Arlington for dinner with David, pack on some protein and carbs -- er, I mean, "steaks and brew" -- and get outta town. We can maybe halve the distance between Dallas and the Louisiana border by nightfall!! Row strong, team!!!!

I'm not Tyrone, but ARF is definitely not rugby! And trust me, nobody seems to know the rules, nor does anybody seem to care!CONLEJM wrote:I used to love watching it, though I couldn't really understand the rules at the time. OK, enough foreign culture for the day...back to rowing. Umm, I mean working. Yeah, that's what I'm supposed to be doing right now!

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
i've been rowing off and on since 1996. i'm nearing 16MM.
i've started during this challenge to do 1 hour rows.
i'm not fast, so i average around 12.75k with random rows in the low 13ks. i'll pass 300k today.
motivation? i do it as my way of "giving the finger" to that relentless bully, age. he'll
get me eventually, but he's going to have to battle me all the way to the finish line.
in 16 years, this is the most i've rowed in a month and the most consecutive substantial rows that i've done.
thanks to all the team for your competition and encouragement with a special thanks to izzmeister and damselfly for all their hard work in measurement and motivation.
