Gosh darn it, can't stand these over-achievers! How the heck am I supposed to catch up on back episodes of Pawn Stars if I'm always having jump on the erg just to stay in the same zip code as the big dawgs??

Sigh, OK Lisa...bump me up to 250K. However if it ever actually snows in Tahoe I reserve the right to jump ship!

Boys, boys, boys.... Let's not get into a p***ing match here!!

Updated your goals.

Hey, we're at 2.93MM, think we'll go over 3MM today?

Someone (Jim C I think) mentioned tendonitis. I had a bad case of a form of tennis elbow (actually top of the forearm, hurt bad gripping anything or pressing up on something with the middle finger), and heard this story on NPR. I ordered the flex bars they talk about, and the results were great. I use them once in a while for maintenance, but the bad pain was gone in about a week. The stretch on the affected tendon was divine.

I am getting some issues with carpal tunnel though...

So, Glen/Dug, about your avatar pic -- is that you crashing into the hard, unforgiving ground after having jumped out of a perfectly good, non-crashing airplane?

If you park your erg in front of the tv, you can catch up on all the episodes you'd like to :D

So many answers to that question....

I used to skydive. If you've ever been a skydiver then you know that the phrase "perfectly good airplane" in no way describes a jump plane. Getting out of the plane is probably the safest thing you can do...it was getting in that was a dumb idea!

But the real answer is that the avatar in question is the inverse of skydiving. I'm actually taking off, heading UP. These days my nylon often carries me several thousand feet upward using nothing more than whatever upward airflow I can mange to find.

A few pages back, everyone was talking about thongs and spandex! :o We needed to offset the estrogen a bit! Talk of skydiving and blacksmithing should bring us back to normal.

..as long as we don't somehow combine the two. Somehow the thought of a wrought iron parachute just doesn't seem healthy.

LMAO!!!!

I was going to post a demonstrative picture about guys and thongs and spandex, but doing the Google search just about made my computer melt. I don't recommend it!!!!

Glen, very cool about the reverse sky-diving. So, no towing up into the air by anything? Just watch the buzzards and catch a good thermal with them? Sounds awesome!

Time to row for me. TO THE ERG, BATMAN!!!

Try keeping a fire going while plummeting towards the ground, much less what to do with the anvil
I am a firm believer in that the only time you jump out of an airplane is when it is falling out of the sky    .
