Good video. I had thought I was tending to lean back to much at the end of the drive, but I think I about match this. My main problem these days is crunching up too much at the catch and getting my shins forward of vertical. :(

Bob G - 2,500 Off your “meds” for 3 days?!

Who ever said "rowing" was my meds???

Try to hit 10,000 today but I backed off and settled for 8,000. That "spot" still seems a little sensitive. Guess I'm not going to make it to 200,000 for this one. :( :( :(

To those following my diabetes success, I have just received the results of my latest A1C test after 3 FULL months of NO meds I am at 5.9 which is up from 5.7 that was read from 3 months of decling Metformin doses. I am extremely pleased with these results but will be making a few more changes in my eating plan in the new year to try to get it down to the 5.5 range. Time to research a little further into the low glycemic recipes in the Low G.I. Handbook.

Bob G, that was from your Oct.8 post. I see now that you were talking about ALL your exercising, including weights, spinning, etc. But that's where I got the idea that you saw rowing as an important part of your diabetes control (as it is mine, though I'm nervous about getting off the metformin, so I just cut out the Actos), and as your "meds" replacement.

October 8??? That seems sooo long ago. And I was rowing everyday during the Fall Challenge that we were in the middle of at that time. And for the record, rowing IS an important part of my exercise program and wish I had one here in my home.
I HAD to take a few days off to allow the catheritization point heal and probably should have taken the time from day one instead of possibly injuring myself badly. I was striving to keep going for this challenge when I should have been taking it a little easy.

Anyway, if I do 10,000 everyday till the 24th I can still make it to 200,000. I take it day by day right now and if I feel I should stop I will.

Congratutations! Improvement in 2K speeds correlate directly with improvements in strength, aerobic & anaerobic endurance & skill! You're more fit than you were a year ago!
(I'm still challenging you to break 8:30 before the end of the year...)
