You've succeeded in guilting Pam into getting back on the C2. :) She's been walking a lot after work but now that it's dark so early she needs to do something on the nights she doesn't go to the gym. She's committed to starting up next week and should be in form to contribute a fair amount for the team challenge!

As for me I'm hoping to continue the 2-3 long rows a week in addition to getting out on the bike at least one weekend day. I'm looking forward to crossing the 500k lifetime barrier (29k to go) next week!

After a bit of inactivity (injury related), back on the rower. I have pinched a nerve or something-got the old radiating agony shooting up and down the right leg. Last time this happened a disc had blown out and pinched the nerve off. Crap. I think I might actually see a Doc before long-probably avoiding it so I don't have to hear bad news  . After 1 surgery I don't want another. But, on a good note-exercise hasn't made it worse-not better either , but at least I can get some exercise in. So, I'm keeping at it and see what happens :)

Sorry to hear it, Mark... Take care, please!!

On the positive side, the old "head in the sand" technique for avoiding bad news does give a great lumbar stretch...

We spend over 3,000 years perfecting guilt, and you take all the credit?! This is deeply disturbing!
Now I feel guilty for not having guilted her enough to get her on the erg without outside help!

Yep-gotta love the head in the sand solution   Actually-I've been pretty gentle on the rowing thing. Haven't put it up past 800 cal when rowing. I usually do the go hard 2 min, go easy 2 minutes-hard being up in the 1100-1200 range,easy8-900. makes me feel like a slug to go under 800 cal range ( I use the calorie meter cause there are 2 kinds of people-those who exercise to eat, and those who eat to exercise-guess which group I'm in??)

Let's break the $100 charity dollar goal. It almost feels like we are being paid to row.

I meant to say "Let's beat the $100 goal", not "break".

I have some extra incentives with this challenge and the January challenge. I am getting very close to 5 million lifetime and I am trying to keep pace with my wife who is training for a marathon. :)
