Pain-free but not discomfort-free. I'm beginning to suspect my trail-running shoes. Wore them around when we did some shopping for plants this weekend and was getting sharp stabbing pains through my left instep. Switched shoes and it stopped, plus ran 5+ miles in my road shoes and was fine.

Smitty, if you manage to put a couch in a can, I'll be muy impressed!

So I tried something yesterday which I have never tried before...the timed 2k. I don't erg competitively, so it has never been something that I bothered with. But for some reason, yesterday morning I felt like laying it down and seeing what I could do at 90ish percent. And I was rewarded by a sub 7min 2k. Of course this has now given me a benchmark in which to aim the next time I decide to do this...which I will at some point.
