Great job Ron , you are doing a super job on stats.
Glad you are back rowing Danno, take it easy and be careful.
Get well Ross, prayers for a quick recovery.
Congratulations to the team for a fantastic challenge.
We walked the Curesearch walk for Morgan yesterday, was a beautiful weather day. Sad at first when they read the names of children who passed this year but then they had the kids who are survivors come up and it was so beautiful. Oh my gosh, the preciousness of them takes your breath away and their courage.
We had 40 members on our team and about 1500 walkers in all. We raised $1200 and overall over 50K!!!1This was the first walk and it looks like will be an annual one.
Ethan, Bobbie, and me were the only members of our team to do the complete 5 mile circuit
Some did a 5k and some did a 1 mile.We had to cross the big dam bridge which seems to go on forever twice. With my vertigo, that was fun.Had to carry Ethan on the way back for about 10 minutes then he got an apple from the volunteers and sprinted to the finish while Nana and Gramps crawled.
Have some pictures but without K2 don't know how to post them. Thanks again for all your support.

I put in 15k this morning since we need a little more to get to the 25M for the challenge. Less than 94k to go, and there's still almost half a day left (for those in the US) so I don't think it's an insurmountable goal. Of course, without the FTC I still would've put in at least half of that, but that's besides the point

.
For me, the challenge isn't over yet. 9 More days to go in the "Biggest Loser" challenge we have going on at work. While I'm not the front runner in weigh loss, and had already lost 9 lbs before the challenge started, I'm pretty close percentage wise in weight loss. So one more week of challenge style rowing for me to go while attempting to limit my pre-Halloween candy intake (which is hard given how much Halloween candy we have in the house at the moment, as we're expecting another 150ish kids to stop by this year if the weather is nice).
Just now after my shower the scale was at 192.4 lbs. I need to drop at least one more lbs in the next 9 days to stand a (slim) chance. I should just start eating better, but don't want to. I'm weird like that.
good luck on your biggest loser challenge and congrats on the weight loss....

Please note that there was no inverted Bazz to be seen while I was there - he did a sterling job to keep a very unstable watercraft right-side-up!
It was great to finally catch up with Baz, Thomo, Mrs Baz - and extended family and friends!
Cheers,
Dave
Well it was great to catch up with Dave H & his wife Karen yesterday and I was pleased to at least stay upright for a couple of photos, and I must say there were a few photo opportunities for pictures of the underside of my kayak later in the day
. Although for some reason I can’t view the photos??
I must say it has been quite good fun, and an eye opener for a ‘flat water racer’ and I can see myself doing some more ahead of the Speight’s Coast to Coast.
Next ‘Team Australia’ Lunat-tics photo might be in one of the double kayaks or rafts going down the course
And congratulations to all on the Challenge, perhaps a few days of R&R install for some
And once again, Thanks Dave and Karen for taking the time to come out and catch up!!!

From their FAQ:
http://www.c2ctc.com/faq.php#2
Code: Select all
2. How can I get a new team added?
This is easily done by posting in the CTC thread, or by contacting Daren or Citroen by private message on the UK Concept2 forum.
It does seem interesting. Although I don't know if they can pull your information off of the official logbook or if you have to make a manual copy of your results to add to their leaderboard.
And Dave, while the thumbnails don't load for me, the pictures themselves work fine if I click on them. The water looks pretty wild out there.
Wim (attempting to get back into rowing shape).

And finally... (in a separate post as the forum limits you to 3 URLs at a time!) the trio of Bazz, Thomo and Moi:
It was great to catch up Bazz!
Cheers,
Dave

Great pictures of Team Luna Oz members! Also great that you guys got to meet up. It may be a "virtual" team, but it is, after all, our real life ... and our paths can cross.
We just got back from a few days of being off-the-grid in rural NorCal/Oregon ... one of the first things I did after we got home, was get caught up on our forum pages. What a great fall challenge effort, all!

Thanks for doing a stellar job with the stats, Ron!
Well done on the Fall Challenge, Team! What a fantastic finish!!!
Somehow I have misplaced the little paper I was jotting down all the past few days worth of achievements on, and so I will just have to toss out a blanket Woo Hoo to all you achievers out there this time!
Those were some great pics of Big Bad Baz. So glad you guys could meet up, and thanks for posting them!

Hate to see teammates be Lost in Space, but must assume that the contingent has moved off the grid for reasons. Fourth place is ours to retake - let's go get it . A couple of million meters stands between us. Ronnie, Gabby, Benny, Harold, Cathie, Sam, Zander, Sunny, Lily, Katerina, Robyn and any others I have inadvertently missed - good luck with your rowing, and forming whatever team you choose to make. You are welcome here. The comings and goings need to cease.
