One of the drills we do on the water is a double "arms & upper body" that we call "cut the cake"!!

Dammit! (slaps forehead) I knew there was a reason I should have had kids!! Too late now though! :)

On a bummer note though, I may be all in for the challenge. Though I managed to run 6 miles yesterday without foot pain, I cannot find a way to plant my foot on the rower (shoe/no shoe, high/low, tight/loose strap) and row without pain. I have a hiking trip to Zion coming up soon and can't afford an injury.

The good news is I have managed 132k... The better news is I'm way down in the meters list for this team!! You guys are rowing some AWESOME meters!!!!

TimbukTWOians, this was a wonderful beginning of our sprint to the finish!
Here are the personal milestones we reached today: Heather R hit 300K, John S - 250K, Yisroel H & Andy I - 200K, Elisa H, Jeff R & Matthew R - 150K, Adam M - 100K! That gives us 1 with 600K, 3 with 400K, 6 with 300K, 12 with 200K, and 28 of 54 members (52%!) with 100K or more!
In 9th Place in the team standings, with a lead of over 400K - don‘t let your guard down, and don‘t go for Lisa‘s grog, whatever the heck that is! (I failed Pirate Talk 101 at the College of Hard Knocks.) Whatever grog is, when Lisa makes it, it‘s extra-high fiber, so you might as well stay on the poop deck…

I‘m off to travel & to celebrate Sukkoth in Chicago, so I‘m metered out for this challenge… However, I‘ve left you in the able hands of the flying damsel they call Lisa. Your captain requests that you heed her every command that doesn‘t have to do with that foul, high-fiber, organic grog! If we are to be arrested, let it be for something worthy like “Piracy on the High Seas", not scurvy like “Rowing While Impaired By Grog"! Carry on, mateys!

Had to take yesterday off-pulled out my back dealing with a big gate I'm making. Note to self-don't pick up a 24 foot 240 lb steel tube without help. Did 14 k this A.M.-seem ok so far.Guess I'll see what happens as the day goes on. I was going to get as close to 400k as I could-hopefully closer as time runs down.
