Congrats Rosi on a 2 million meter season!!!
Btw, Jim - the Malvern Arkansas football 6th grade players were sure in the news yesterday here in the Denver area. The air waves were telling of a 6th grade running back phenom, Demias Jimerson, who is so good that if his team is up by 14 points, he is limited to no more than three touchdowns. Whoa. That would be a tough scenario to manage. Do any of your grandkids play on same team ?
Demias is in Jackson's class, he is amazing. Malvern is the city school , 1 classification larger than where all the rest of the grandkids go (Glen Rose)

i was wondering if anyone here has changed out and started using a different handle for your rowers. I've seen a few online and a few videos for different rowing handles.
Just kind of curious.

Just kind of curious.
Now I'm curious. Are you looking for increased hand comfort while rowing, use of different muscles with a different kind of handle or bar or ?
Good to see you back on the erg after your tough week.

A long time ago...in a galaxy far away....I started the day and captured the rowing meters....then came one nephew's soccer games...and an hour or two later, the second nephew's football game (it was so great - one of the mom's had a cowbell! I could shout "more cowbell!"). Lightning flashed in the skies, leaves fell, and great distances were traveled. Ok... moderate distances. Anyway, before the calendar date changes, here's today's stats for the year-round team
...late, but not forgotten.

Oh and today's wildlife was not more moose, but pronghorns. Usually when I see them they are bounding across the sagebrush, but today (unlike these in the photo), they were bunched together (16 to 20) of them. Some say that winter's coming when the pronghorns start to bunch together....see them frequently in Colorado and Wyoming.

Exactly 14 days left in the Fall Challenge...might be just a trick of timing, but I do believe that Free Spirits shaved about 150K off the gap that existed. Be wary....when a team is in the "rabbit" position (that would be us), the hounds (that would be them) will be in hot pursuit. We are changing the historical order of challenge rankings with our current number two position in the rankings - so dig deep and stay focused on a fast-paced finish! Whoop, whoop and hooyah !
Total Challenge Meters = 13,714,422 m
Total meters rowed yesterday = 473,051 m
Percent of team rowing so far = 86 percent.....c'mon 90 ! Need five more people to find those ergs!
With 14 days remaining, we have 72 percent of the team well positioned to finish at least 100,000 meters in this challenge.
Here's a link to the individual contributions that make up that 13,714,422 m:

Way to row, Lunies !! 14 million is within the pull of a chain !

Happy birthday, Teenager Tris!
Someone recently recommended "Broken Hill," which I watched last night. Fun movie. (Though I was hoping to actually see something of Broken Hill. I'm sure it's changed since I was there.) Along the same lines, sort of, "August Rush" is an easy watch.
