Will post from logcard this evening.
Wanted to break 7000 this year.
Other goal is to break 8:00 in 2000m; 6.3 more sec. to shave off.
Cheers. Have a great day.
Grats on the scores! We seem to be doing fairly similar (you got your erg a week or so before mine, you row a bit more too, and you're older, etc etc), but still similar

I was very excited when I broke 7k on the 30 minutes, and rowed my first 2k yesterday (and broke 8 minutes). I'm done with PBs for a bit though, as I need to work on bettering my technique (and slow down my stroke rate as well as increase my power) before attempting to see if I can raise my heart rate a bit further still. My personal bests have left me panting and barely able to sleep on the nights I set them at.
I've been doing more stretching (as well as some sit ups as suggested, but I do suck at them and could barely get to 20 of them) and while my back muscles are still VERY tense today, at least I know it's a muscle pain that I've been having so that's a bit less worrying for me.
What makes me the happiest though, is that the scale has informed me that I weigh under 200 lbs for the last 5 days in a row. While I haven't lost enough weight (12 lbs or so) to win the "biggest loser" competition at work that I'm part of, I'm doing pretty good (one coworker has lost over 25 lbs already since July 25th according to his twin brother, who won the competition that ended earlier this year). Another month and a half to go, which should hopefully net me another 5 to 10 lbs (190 lbs being my ultimate target weight, but I don't really care when I hit it, if ever).

Wim (attempting to get back into rowing shape).
