RowPro log upload

Post by ehagberg » March 24th, 2006, 6:29 pm

Today, after having all my log uploads work flawlessly for the last couple months or more... and having made no config changes to my copy of RowPro... I notice that even though I uploaded two workouts to C2 and RowPro indicated the data was uploaded successfully, both were missing from my C2 online logbook and my total meters in the C2 logbook didn't increase.

So, apparently RowPro thinks that C2 got the data but C2 didn't enter the workouts into my logbook.

Anyone else seeing this, or am I just lucky?

Thanks,
-Eric

By chance I noticed something similar with the meters of Andreas van Tonder:

on the annual meter bord he has 2,254,724 (on the first page of 5000 and more meters a day) and in the team standings he has 3,075,724 (Rowpro team, a few lines below you Eric).

My meters seem always transfered/uploaded, etc correctly, although there is a delay between when I see them in the team standing (right away usually) and in the meter board (can take a few hours).

hope that helps,
Holm

There's no difference in my meters in the annnual meter board vs the team standings, so I don't think that's related. It is weird that his numbers are so different between the two...

However, Frank mentioned on the digitalrowing.com forum that he's seeing the same problem with meters not getting logged to C2 even though RowPro says the data was uploaded fine.

I've previously reported the Andreas discrepancy to Bill Patton; let's just hope Chad doesn't notice! Bill thought it might be due to on-water meters, which are apparently not included in the annual meters page rankings, but are in the team standings, but in any case said he intends to investigate. This discrepancy has been present for weeks, so is unlikely to have any connection to this new issue.

I'm surprised you see a delay between uploading data and seeing it on the meter board; in my experience, it is always immediate, and it seems based on my limited knowledge of Bill's implementation that it would be hard work to make it otherwise! Perhaps your browser is giving you a stale copy of the web page or something.

Just talked to Bill Patton; he's aware of the problem, which was introduced with yesterday's database migration, and hopes to fix it this weekend.

My meters are the same for both the annual meters board and the team standings, and I do have on-water meters logged, so they do count for both team standings and the annual meter board...

So the on-water meters don't appear to be Andreas' problem.

It is working again! I uploaded my meters for today's training and for the sessions I failed to upload in previous days.
