I had cut back to reading the last page of this thread one day a week ... sadly I seemed to have a feeling of deja' vu each time. What an incredible surprise that things have come to an abrupt head! I will visit at 9:22 EST to see how this chapter closes.
The post from Dougie does leave me wondering though. If this thread is to be locked then certainly a permanent ranger ban will be done too won't it? It makes no sense to lock a thread if another can be started that is nothing more or less different than the current one.
Unless there is a functional limit to the number of pages allowed in a single thread in the forum software.

Thanks for the entertainment, the lies, and the fail after fail. I guess that in a way, I am a little twisted and sick because I check this thread out regularly.

mikvanb, ranger made our bet easy on you! For a while there he was calling you out in almost every one of his post. I was hoping you would cave.
ranger, I will look for your FM in the rankings a month or two from now.
My prediction is that with the proper training, you will be able to break 7:00 for a 2k sometime next year, maybe a 6:57 or 6:58! Keep at it, and never give up! Good luck.

Yea, the new rigging on my oars is much better.
I don't get as tangled up at the finish.
In fact, it is clear that I should probably add _another_ inch of outboard on each side.
Then I will _really_ be in business.

I took all of my strokes at 13 SPI and 21 spm.
That's comes out to be 1:48, as the monitor displays it, each time I take a stroke.

I just took good strokes.
I have made this clear, time and time again, so what I am saying is not at all a lie.
I have also made it clear that anyone else could do exactly the same thing.
The point of the training is just to get used to pulling 13 SPI @ 21 spm.
If you don't do something at all, how are you going to get used to it?
You can never feel that something is easy unless you do it a lot, easily.

I fail to see what is so difficult about this concept for you (and others).
For instance, pitchers might do a lot of pitching to a catcher, just to get used to throwing a variety of pitches in a variety of ways.
No batter there.
No game situation.
No one on base.
No score.
No crowd watching your every move.
Etc.
Just practice.
Practice makes perfect.

So you have a "just row" on your Pm, simply post a pic of that latest 15 k of good strokes 148/21 That would be 54 minutes and 1134 strokes.

Rowing 15k at 1:48 isn't the same as rowing 15k where all the strokes you take are at 1:48. It appears you did the latter, but your claim was clear that you did the former.
I'm not trying to make you train (or race) in any particular way, I'm just asking that you tell the truth. It appears you didn't. Hence my request that you either apologize (to the group, not me), or post proof that you were telling the truth.

I'm trying to picture how you do this. You sit on the erg, start pulling. How many strokes until you've settled into 1:48@21spm? Then, after a few strokes, you stop. Was your last stroke at 1:48/21spm? If so, why did you stop? Why not just keep on taking "good strokes"? If not, what forced you out of your 1:48/21spm groove?
Do you paddle in between these strings of "good strokes" or simply handle down? How long (give or take a minute or two) are these breaks? Is the monitor still running when you start again or does it count back up from 0? If and when you have to start a new Just Row session, do you write down the distances for each interval, or do you add it up in your head as you go along?
How do you deduct all the strokes you don't take at 1:48/21spm, ie the first few each time you need to get the flywheel going and the last few before each break? Do you just lump them in with the rest, or do you make a mental note of how long you paddled/eased up? That's a lot of adding and subtracting you have to keep track of, all the while making sure your levers are in sequence and your footwork is perfect.

Thanks macroth, that's a whole bunch of what I wanted to say but couldn't be bothered. The lie is egregious not just because ranger didn't do what he plainly claimed to do, he didn't even do what he weasely qualified he meant.
