I'm so mad that I couldn't complete the challenge yesterday. A blood vessel came unclotted from when I got my tonsils taken out last week. I had to go to the ER last night and get it cauterized. In retrospect, maybe I shouldn't have rowed my first sub 20 minute 5k yesterday. I don't know if that had anything to do with what happened, but I'm definitely taking it easy today.

Congrats to all of those that did complete the challenge yesterday. I won't come up with any weak excuses next time

And like last year ‘The Landy’ will be writing a blog and updating with photos along the way, and if you’re inclined you’ll be able to track its progress and check in on the blog at the following links...

Armchair Adventurers -

Highly recommend reading Baz's blog (so I am posting the link again) - it says April, but I believe it is indeed the current trip since the photos are listed as current date. I always look forward to the stories and the photos! Looks like Baz's caravan now has quite the tent apparatus (Star Wars comes to mind for some reason) - trust Baz to find some of the best gear out there! Thanks for sharing your adventures with us, Baz!

All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 6.23.11

Post by Kona2 » June 24th, 2011, 3:20 pm

Whoa....those SC rowers bounced us right out of the number four spot....never fear....we still have 85 percent of the rowing year remaining....still, there's no joy in dropping a rung....

Just a reminder that the weekend stats will be accumulating until Monday...the bike ride is this weekend.....temperatures are going to be in the 90s, and we're all hitting the road at 6 AM tomorrow. I probably won't even be aware that I'm on the bike until at least 8 AM ! That's like free miles !

If you've got an upcoming event, let us know - we'll add it to the list !

Season meters as of 55/365 = 15,507,742 m

Total meters on the day = 274,299 m

Oars in space (participation) = 34 percent

MILESTONES...Bragging Rights...Celebrations:

900 K Cathie
650 K David A
600 K Ron (must be a busy busy guy)
550 K Minnie
100 K Mike M

Way to row, everyone!

Ethan ImageImageImageImage m :D
Ashlee ImageImageImageImage m :D
Kaylee ImageImageImageImage m :D ... wait...there's a definite pattern here...
Marty 1,620 m
Tris 2,100 m
Benny 3,033 m
Mario Jackson 3,290 m ... I'd be willing to bet that this young man will complete a half marathon by the end of the rowing season...he's working up to the meters necessary to make the attempt...
Bobbie 3,300 m
Gabby 4,550 m
Pat S 5,000 m
David T 6,000 m
Joe 6,141 m

Hi Team,
I just had to share, I just reached my first million meters of rowing since I started in February 2011.
It feels so good to get that first million completed.

You are correct the first million is the most excting. All the millions that follow are sore butts and blistered hand. Keep setting goals, stay focused and most important have fun. I see many more millions in your future! Good job!

Congrats on your first million!

Have you already requested your complimentary incentive 1 million meter Concept2 tee shirt? Free stuff is great, as are C2 and their various motivations.
