Yes, I rowed that Full Marathon finally. Last week's attempt, my heart rate was in the high 140's the first hour, high 150's the second hour, so I pulled the plug after 1:45, realizing that I would almost for sure not make it.
Tonight, I started slower, kept my heart rate in the high 120's the first hour, the 130's the second hour, the 140's the third hour, and still finished under 2:50, averaging 2:00.1 per 500m! This gives me a good baseline to improve from, the rest of the season.
However, I'm not sure if it counted towards the Global Challenge, as I finished at 12:30am, a half hour after the GC ended... :(

I am well prepared for the Zombie Apocalypse. I've rowed like a zombie in the last weeks and have duct taped myself to the bottom of the standings. But, I am now back from my travels and ready to look alive again.

Hope it's not the end of the world :o

Just received my new C2 rower, so now I can choose to row or ski as my heart desires. Set up didn't go smoothly as I somehow picked German as the language of choice on the pm3. This was strange as I don't speak German. I had a choice of quickly learning the language or press buttons at random. Luckily random button pushing eventually worked and got me back to English...Learning German would have taken months.

Hoping this instrument of torture will inspire me to more meters :D, as long as my fragile ligaments, or joints don't break . Will however have to take today off as I am going to the hospital, my wife is having surgery today.

Row Strong
