Wow.

If I pull 30 spm @ 11 SPI and 95 df. for a HM, then what?

That predicts a 6:04 2K.

At just a standard 36 spm, 11 SPI is right around the 50s lwt 2K WR and the 60s hwt 2K WR.

1:42 for a HM is a dozen seconds per 500m faster than the 60s lwt HM WR.

I'll do a video with 50 strokes tomorrow morning after I am warmed up and rowing well.

Sure, I'll get a video of the 50 strokes.

I can't do it this morning, though.

I forgot to charge the battery for my digital camera after playing around with it yesterday.

I'll do the video tomorrow.

No, but that's a good idea.

The battery for my camera runs down _very_ quickly.

Is that common for digital camera bateries?

From TWITTER:
Breaking news!
ranger's "battery" has "run down"
Sherlock still constipated (NSS)...

Also: This just in: ranger now talking of a HM instead of a FM...
Our British correspondent, lancs, concurs: the letters "FM" to disappear from ranger posts for many months...
  :!:

Just a few days now and we'll be done with the illusion... "FM by the end of the month"

What's next on tap in the "ranger's hollow predictions" dept...?
Will it be 6:16 2k "in the fall"? "Unfinished business"
How about: 'Going up to Door County to row 40k OTW everyday at 2:05 pace' ?
The soap opera continues... as is "should"// :)

New shutter action is smooth as butta.

Full movie coming up in the next month or so.

My favorite part of the battery excuse is that he's proposing to video around 2 minutes of rowing, which I'd guess 10-15 minutes of charging would take care of. But no, we'll have to wait until 'tomorrow'.

IMO: We don't need any more video than this:

http://www.c2forum.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 11#p159411

After having a few chuckles, turn the sound off.. Watch the head. Watch the rowing "over the top" (Weight goes up ^... and then goes down on his seat at the release)....

Slides would get rid of this in a hurry, Rich... Hope you will consider adding these to your "must have" equipment and will get access to them soon.
You know, I kid you a whole lot... but, with some easy adjustment, you can redirect the force vectors of your rowing to drive a boat smoothly over the surface of the water instead of down into it.

Considering it will take seven more years to adjust to a drag of 95 I would think redirecting force vectors would take far longer.

So I have to ask ... is this just an evil plot to avoid racing ranger in the same category until you are both 100???

Don't bite your nails down too far in nervous anticipation.

They bleed.

:D :D

You might also try switching channels on your T.V.

Perhaps there is a better show elsewhere.

Sure.

And 60min, and 10K, and 30min, and 6K, and 5K.

After the FM.

No longer, at any drag, and certainly not at 95 df.

I have learned how to relax my shoulders and abs at the catch, and my shoulders when I set my heels, engage my abs, and swing my back.

That's what has made it so that I can now row so easily and naturally at 95 df.

The low drag then encourages quick legs even further.

I'll get a video up in a couple of days showing how I do it now.

At 95 df., I now get a very solid 11-12 SPI, as my force curve illustrates, with up to 120 kg.F of peak force in the middle of my drive when I set my heels and push, finishing my legs with my hams and gluts.

That just isn't possible for a little lightweight to do by anchor-hauling.

Sure.

I can't wait to try these things out in my Fluid.
