Last night midnight, I set my PM3 for 2:00:00. I rowed 30,832 meters to help jumpstart our team. Now, I feel I’m able to ask you to join me in stretching yourself this next month, and reaching heretofore unrealized levels of physical fitness!

I just joined the challenge this morning. I'll contribute what I can, but will have to be away from my erg for several days during the coming month.

To join the TimBukToo year-round affiliation, follow these (convoluted!) steps:

1. Log into your logbook,
2. At the top of the page, click Profile.
3. Click Edit Profile (the link is in the header right under "Profile Settings").
4. Scroll most of the way down the page. Under Affiliation, follow the instructions to select "TimBukTOO" as your affiliation.
5. At the bottom of the page, click Update.

That should do it!

AND she can give instructions that even a guy can follow! And no, there are no lidocaine shots in my eyes, I know what I know

2 things:
1)Our Captain is quite amazing and dedicated- rowing for 2 hours, starting at midnight is noteworthy for many reasons- mostly positive-- but isnt there a song entitled : Still Crazy After All These Years?
Seriously, - our Captain can row- I sit in awe.
We are lucky to have such an illustrious leader- his times are world class.

2) I thought I would be out of pocket for 4 days- and off the March Madness boards as well- due to a trip I have to make to UNC in Chapel Hill next week.
As luck would have it-- good luck it seems- I found out yesterday that the Wellness Center on campus at UNC has C2 machines- and they open at 5AM. Therefore I will be able to get in my daily row and stay on course for the 10K March Madness board.
I had some tightness in my lower back which I thought would interfere. That is fading.
If I can continue to wake up when the alarm goes off, both at home and while away- and row while on this business trip, and also get to the JCC here in town for my daily workouts, I still have a shot at the 10K board.
But I think I can only miss one more day over the course of the next 2 weeks.

Anymore challenge meter goals, people??? I worked hard to add that functionality to the app!

Izz's goal is 300k!! Is he still crazy after all these years? I've only known him for a short time, and his craziness quotient (rather high) hasn't decreased at all during that interval. So I have to conclude that if we extrapolate backwards in time we would find he has exhibited his current craziness level consistently since birth. There. Scientific proof that, yes, he IZZZ crazy after all these years!

(My favorite proof is "Base case: obvious; Inductive case: trivial"!)
