Workout Question re: Damper Settings

Post by lapresle » March 12th, 2011, 6:02 pm

I'm new to the ERG and am following the UK Interactive program. I haven't been adjusting the damper and was wondering what the recommended use of the damper is? Do I increase resistance for the shorter pieces or do I just leave it alone? The pieces range from 1' to 50' any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers-Kevin

There may be some value in raising the drag for 100m, 300m or 500m races, but otherwise you should generally leave it on one setting.

Determining the setting is a purely personal choice, but a good starting point is documented here: http://concept2.co.uk/training/guide/damper_lever
