What happened? You seem to have changed your mind.
No, I haven't changed my mind.

I am doing 20K

You are being self-contradictory.
You said you would do 10x2k/1:00r while wearing a HR belt and report all the data on you monitor from the MEMORY function.
Now you have changed your mind and gone back on you word.
This is known as being a liar.

Wouldn't you be better off doing 40k on the erg as you said a while back that you were going to do daily?
Bike effort doesn't equal erg effort, I can bike 3 hours plus at a good pace, no way I could do that time on the erg!
Sure, if I could.

But at the moment, I can't.

Perhaps when my body is more fully used to rowing well at low drag I will be able to.

I would be especially pleased if my "Steamroller" rowing at 22-23 spm became UT2 and therefore could be extended indefinitely.
Excuse me.
But you seem to be saying that your 20k of UT2 is a fait accompli at 1:46 pace.
If not, what pace?... assuming you do indeed cover 20 k in your workouts. (Something you have never shown)

Rich: Let it be understood: Every time you lie... or seems to be lying... a will ask you to verify what you "slyly" contend about your training.
Isn't that dreary?
Wouldn't it simply be easier to post REAL evidence of a workout from time to time?

You know that if you ever did post details, all the statements about "I now row all my strokes well at a watts/stroke rate ratio of 12.5" would be proven false.

Nope.

Only that my training seems to be headed in that direction.
If it is headed in that direction (IMO a lie)
Show us how with the data.

Oh, forgive me, "seems to be" not "is"... I get it.. a wish...

It a shame it took 5 days to arrive at "seems to be"...

...............

So: what pace was your Steamroller session at today.

I agree with you on this form issue. It is important to have good form.
But, to stay on topic about the aspect of your training in which I am interested: The question I had was about the power exhibited during performance of these "thousands upon thousands" of good strokes.
You have said (ad nauseum) that they are all powerful ones and link them to the stroke rate you happen to be doing a the time:
watts divided by stroke rate

This is a central part of your training theory (bizarre in my book)
Watts is the measure of power. You have said many, many times, that you exhibit high (for your age) power in all your rowing.
I like to know what this has been this week. Is this unreasonable?

(1) Learn to row well.

(2) Learn to row as long as a FM @ 22 spm, rowing well.

(3) Learn to row quality trials for HM, 60min, 10K, 30min, 6K, and 5K, rowing well, by raising the rate, heart rate, and pace to the limits of tolerance, as you shorten the distance ("double the d, add 3").

(4) Sharpen with anaerobic intervals, both long (4 x 2K, etc.) and short (8 x 500m, etc.).

(5) Race.

This stroke is (1) on this orderly training plan.

Now I am working on (2).

A translation might be this:

(1) Mechanical and technical effectiveness and efficiency.

(2) Habituation, Relaxation, Consistency, Endurance.

(3) Aerobic capacity.

(4) Anaerobic capacity.

(5) Nerves. Guts. Desire. Confidence. Smarts.
