Are you retreating from your claim that this
"HOT AIR" workout you do is at an average pace of 1:46...?
What was the pace today? You have it at you disposal.
Please tell us.
And yesterday...(?)
And the day before .... (?)

Actually, my technique OTErg was so good this morning, and my fitness OTBike was so strong and steady, I am not sure whether I will need the nine 1' breaks.mikvan52 wrote:Rich: Would you post your equivalent screen shot please?
I don't time my "Steamroller" workouts. I just take good strokes and work hard.mikvan52 wrote:So Rich:

As you've said repeatedly: THis thread is not about "racing one's workouts"ranger wrote:Actually, my technique OTErg was so good this morning, and my fitness OTBike was so strong and steady, I am not sure whether I will need the nine 1' breaks.mikvan52 wrote:Rich: Would you post your equivalent screen shot please?
I think I might just be able to row a HM right through, especially if I stick to 1:48 rather than pushing it to 1:46.
The rate on "Steamroller" seems to be closer to 22 spm than 23 spm.
1:48 for a HM would best Oesterling's 60s hwt WR by two seconds per 500m, even though a HR of 160 bpm would be taking it easy, vis-a-vis a trial.
In a trial, I could push my HR to 170 bpm for most of the row, and kicking it in over the last couple of Ks, drive my HR up to 185 bpm by the end.
I won't do that this weekend. I'll put that off a couple of weeks, until I get in some more "Steamroller" sessions and long bike ride--and do a FM trial.
My HR has been floating along at 160 bpm, steady state, when I am pulling 1:48 @ 22 spm (12.5 SPI).
80% HRR
