Freeware RowIt Program updated for use with PM4

I've received a request to do some updating to my RowIt program, and would like to know how much interest is left for the program. The amount of interest will dictate how much work I'm going to put in.

I really like it and use it for most rows.

A few requests:
1. Color "legend mark" next to the graphed data.
Up at the top you have a large "Stroke Rate: XX". Put a Blue square next to that to remind me that in the graph the blue line is stroke rate. Same for all 4 data items graphed.

2. Target horizonal lines
For each of the 4 graphed data items allow entering 1 or 2 target values. So for HR my range would be set to 107 to 177, then I would put in targets of 140 and 155. You would draw horizonal red lines at 140 and 155 HR values across graph. Or maybe put short red lines on the right side Y axis of the chart. It would be nice to enter a targets in Pace/500 units or Watts.

3. Option to put graph Y axis labels on the right side.
Since the new data is added on the right I would prefer the labels over on the right next to the last stroke data.

Is it possible to save the row-data, shown in the rowit-graph, into a .txt- or .csv-file?
I like to analyse the row-data in ms-excel en do some calculations on the row-data. The data I need are power, stroke rate, heart rate vs. time (or handle force, handle speed, heart rate vs. time).

your RowIt is a nice and easy piece of software, I especially like the CSV output.

Thanks for the "expansion" of the stroke counter - but last weekend doing a 24h continuous rowing, we hit the 20,000 limit ... we quickly restartet the software, but out of curiosity: Does it stop recording when bumping against this limit?

Is there any way I could get you to share the source code?

Hi there,

I just started rowing and used RowIt today. Apparently it is not supported anymore. I would like to translate it to german and expand it functionalities to upload the data to several more online logbooks.
Scott, are you still around? Do you share the source?

Aargh - I'm coming back to rowing and I've just built a little table around my rower so I can have a laptop on top, planning to use RowIt, but can't even find it for download any more. I'll to scour old backup drives and see if I've got it anywhere.

I would also be interested in being involved in open source development of RowIt. The software available isn't really very good (rowpro is OK, but still quite primitive and inflexible in some ways). I always used to like RowIt the best.

Can the original developer be contacted to release the source?
