Woohoo and hooyah! We have 38 Lunies on the Erg Lovers Board - including two more junior rowers, Mario Jackson and Dalton! Congrats to G-l-o-r-i-a and Rick also for rowing enough meters to snag those valentines!

There's still time to claim your valentines! They are indeed unique - which fits this team well.

And now, another episode of "Bunny Trails of the Mind"

There I was - going through the team profile pages, checking the numbers, seeing who was just a few meters shy of a whole valentine - and some newly added text in a team member profile caught my attention. Sometimes, I am so focused on the numbers, that I miss some of these gems. Here's what caught my attention: "If my Dad tells me one more time that 'the ole hooty-owl hooty hoos to the dove', his crutches are history. " Thus began another episode of bunny trails of the mind.

Was this native folklore? A line from a kid's book? Maybe it was woot code? Yep, retreated to Wikipedia to discover that this is a line taken from a song (Tammy)made popular by none other than Debbie Reynolds - a singer and actress that most of us know as Princess Leia's (of Star Wars fame) mom. Turns out that this song was so popular that it ranked number 1 on the top 40 for five weeks, and was nominated for Best Song in the 1957 Oscars (it didn't win) from the movie "Tammy and the Bachelor." There were other Tammy movies, and probably some televised somethings with re-runs (which are different than do overs). I did not know these things, and now we all do. Good luck with brother Jay and dad Jim, Tammy - sounds like they LOVE to tease you!

Season meters as of 288/365 = 96,566,141 m

You and your bunny trails, K2 ... I've been humming Crosby Still and Nash's "Love the One You're With" all morning (eagles ... hooty-owls, all the same to the dove, I'm guessing!) ... so very "Valentine's."

I might have to watch Star Wars (not one of the prequels, please) when I row, later. The power of suggestion.
