Hi
Two weeks ago I decided to row a marathon for Children in Need.
My training plan involved starting small and building up to the day; that day was today.
On Friday I did 15km, and then yesterday I did a 5km.
Today I did 42195m in 4hr and 14mins, which while not quick by standards on here; I'm sitting as a fantastic achievement; and have raised over £200 for Children in Need.
Just wanted to share as at the moment I'm immensely proud of myself. I did it in the school where I teach after teaching all day, (starting at 4:22 and finishing at 8:36) and was cheered on by kids, staff, and for the final 3km my fiance. Best thing I've ever done.
Thanks for reading!!!

Re: Children in Need
Good for you!
I was really proud when I finished my first marathon and I haven't been able to work up the courage to do another one yet.
I like your idea of doing it to raise money for a cause.

You're more likely to stir up some support over on http://concept2.co.uk/forum rather than here.CantonsHero wrote:Two weeks ago I decided to row a marathon for Children in Need.
Re: Children in Need
Many congratulations! And so you should be proud of yourself for having achieved the distance and for having raised some money for Children in Need, a fabulous charity. Well done.
