Today I intended to row my first 10k for time, but decided at 5k that I probably wouldn't make it. Still, 5k time was easily a PB - 19:30. Definitely could have gone faster, so next time I'll set the pace boat at 1:54 and shoot for sub-19:00.

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Just rowed a 4 minute test : 1182 metres. Much better than the 1128, I pulled when I first tested a couple months ago. I uploaded this to the online logbook, and I do not want to brag, but I am now the number one ranked rower in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada. At least amongst the two of us that have put in our times.

More of a milestone than a PB. Today I crossed the 3 million meter mark. By coincidence, I noticed that I posted my first meters online on 11/16/2009, so it took me a year plus 2 days to get here.

Good work Gregg! There's nothing like the feeling when you go sub-7 for the first time.

New 10K PB today. Started off thinking I'd go for a relaxing 10k - rowed the first 2500 at a 2:05 pace, then picked it up to finish in 39:45. I don't really have the pacing or arm stamina to try for an all-out 10K yet, but I was pretty happy with the results.

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Have been pausing my training a bit to knock down a bunch of PBs. My 6:59.8 on 10/20 to guide my training was my first sub-7. Since then, I've been breaking my PBs by SUBSTANTIAL amounts. Not bad for a 51yo diabetic fatboy!
30:00 - Improved from 7,994m to 8,126
60:00 - Improved from 15,747 to 16,009
5K - Improved from 18:32 to 18:01.2
6K - Improved from 22:05.4 to 21:36.8 (today!)
HM - Improved from 1:20:28 to 1:19:49.4
The last 2 "out of place" PBs are my 1K & 10K times, but I can only break 1 PB on any given day, 2 a week. Do gotta get back to training soon tho...

@lucklindy: Great job...breaking 2:00 splits on a 10K, that's a pretty sweet row.
@izzmeister: Those times are phenomenal! Hell, it looks like the 6th best half marathon for your age group. What kind of training are you doing?

Wow, great work! With some higher end stuff you'll see that 2k time come down a LOT.Izzzmeister wrote:Have been pausing my training a bit to knock down a bunch of PBs. Good job lindy! You've got all the pacing you need, just start at 1:59 and roll until 7-8k then give er' hell. Good luck!luckylindy wrote:New 10K PB today.
