Big lizards have trouble rowing well.

So they struggle.

God-zilla?

Hardly.

More like Gad-zooks.

You will never post that screenshot because 1) you are a fraud; and 2) you are utterly incapable of doing 20 x 500/3:30 @ 1:32 r32, now or evermore; and 3) see #1.

Nav Haz pulled an impressive 6:18 a few years ago.

But it has been all down hill from there.

At BIRC 2010, he'll struggle to pull 6:30.

Sure, he has the "sprinty" stuff down.

But he doesn't work on his weaknesses.

To pull 6:16, he also need to do 60min @ 1:44.

Not much chance of that.

You go right on thinking that. I prefer to make no claims.

In the meantime, what I do or don't do has nothing to do with the fact that you're a bloviating fraud.

As for your hope of extending some of the reps in a 20 x 500m/3:30 session to 1ks @ 1:34 r32, also on 3:30, don't make me herniate myself laughing. You can't do a single stand-alone 1k in 3:08 any more at any rating whatsoever.

... but it clearly makes him feel good to say he can do this and that...
Let our little erg-dwarf have his fun, already...Nav'!

This "Ranger's training thread" is a place of solace and refuge for our favorite troll: Don't go blowing up his wee bridge that he is guarding => rather => answer his "questions three"...

the BIRC isn't far away now: another milestone of failure is emerging on the horizon... But the keystone to ranger's imaginary world will not fall from the edifice he's built (RWB, Distance Training, DLS, sweep stroke, Sprack-Back, and such)

I expect more of the same equivocation is just around the bend:
ranger will say: "I need more time to perfect and sharpen my skills. Just wait until the WIRC"

We will  welcome his showmanship and more opportunities to nay-say.

Hey!

Did anyone watch the World Champ. FISA Finals in NZL?

of particular Interest... The LwtM1x...

guess who got 4th... with his erg-stroke?... not even close to 1st (Miani of Italy)
hint: he's the WR lwt holder; his initials are H.S.

... and ranger has said (here) that "the best scullers are the best ergers"... or was it: "the best ergers are the best scullers"...
Silly me! I just can't keep it straight... sort of like ranger and his boat, the "Windbagger"

BTW: these elite finals can be seen for free at row2k.com and/or
http://www.universalsports.com/premium/index.html (for a $5 fee)

I bought the pkg... It's well worth the money. Universal Sports has the best footage... in the best format that, incidentally, you can retrieve as many times as you want.

Watch as Stephansen rushes his body and legs and arms out of bow on the recovery (the effective way to get a great erg score as you beat an erg to death) thereby defeating the superlative power at his disposal... Rich... Is this the famous "DLS" you are shooting for OTW?

HS is getting better OTW though... &, all silly ranger bashing aside, I'm a huge fan of his... the more time he spends on the water, the better he gets as a sculler...

I'm still not sure why you persist in making claims such as this, when you, I and everyone else here knows you can't do four of them. It must be something to do with your childhood I assume. Did your parents not give you enough recognition or something?

The next thing I'm wondering is after BIRC & WIRC (and any combination of 2 from DNS/DNF/7:11/6:43), what will your pathology let you post from then on? I mean, seriously, after another season of missing your long-stated goal of 6:16 by 25 seconds can't let you carry on with the bullshit.

Can it? :)

That would predict a 6:16 2K.

ranger
How would that predict a 6:16 2K? I can run 20x65s 400s on a track, but I sure can't do a 4:20 mile.

Also of note the hwt men's double. The Kiwis were rating 38 for most of the second half of the race and finished off at 44s. And what a finish

What does King Dick have to say about that?

lancs,

You don't expect him to show up and race at BIRC do you? The mods here should tell him "no race, no post."

Or he might could do a Dwayne Adams and set off at 1.34, then roll off the erg after 30 seconds with a broken back.

If your training is balanced, as mine is, 20 x 500m is done at 2K.

Try it.

Find out for yourself.

Great stuff.

Really?

I don't believe you.

Anyone who can do 20 x 400 @ :65 can run 4:20 for the mile.

Claims don't have anything to do with it.

You need to be able to do the distance rows or the sprint workouts predict nothing at all.

Simple as that.

The 2K is not a sprint.
