I've got a C2 Model C in relatively good condition (it had 1400km on it), and have been using it for about 7 months (it now has 2900km). I've noticed that the seat has developed a squeaking sound, like that of old wood, when sliding back and forth on the rail. I suspect it's the top front roller axle; but then again it could be something else.
Any idea what it might be or how to remedy it? Thanks.

Re: squeaky seat
Clean the rail and rollers.

If that doesn't work you may need to dismantle the seat to clean everything more deeply.

If that doesn't work replace the rollers with a new set from the C2 Shop.
There's no need to lubricate them, they should be self lubricating and good for millions of metres.

Re: squeaky seat
I regularly get a similar squeak in my model D. Each time I have cured it with a thin film of chain lubricant on the top and edges of the slide itself. I usually do it with the cleanup rag that I use to wipe up excess oil from the chain after regular maintenance.bobkwan2007 wrote:I've got a C2 Model C in relatively good condition (it had 1400km on it), and have been using it for about 7 months (it now has 2900km).
