The Internet menu is far far better, lot more info, you can see the results with it.
One thing I did notice straight away is how quick it loads and runs from 1.8 version.

Will report more after my session :D

Sir Pirate

The camera changes angle, zooms back, forward, out, pulls right back. When you get about 50m from each 500m point the camera zooms out into a perspective view and a clock appears counting up until you hit the line, when you hit the line of each 500m mark the clock gives you your split time to that point, it is truly amazing.
You can also choose what to have on the screen with regards to data. I had a split graph on one side and a watts graph on the other side.

Lots more to tell but I wont spoil it for you all. :D :D

I have to thank Pete and his team at Digital Rowing for what they have done, it is fantastic. 8) 8)

Go get it all!!

Sir P
I couldn't get 2.0 to install and run properly, and trashed my rowing computer setup in the process. It is now in pieces, with several other computers, on my dining room table. After an hour of frustrated looking, I found my XP install disk inside the disk drive in one of those junk computers (not a good place to store it). I am below spec for v20, and would like to demo it before buying. I had to fix these problems someday, so I guess that is now.

If anyone is looking for me for the online mile tomorrow, I had to withdraw. I have been sick with the flu all week and couldn't, or shouldn't, really row anyway.

I was thinking of going "old school" for the week before the crash-bs. I have to relearn what is like just looking at the PM3.

well, was just trying my first internet rowpro-session with the 1.8 version wit Polaco, who already has the 2.0, and there was no way to start the race. Are 1.8 and 2.0 incompatible? :?
Will install 2.0 on monday

Pete says that you can use 1.8 and 2.0 with no problems.

I will be leaving internet sessions for a week or so to give the chance for everyone to upgrade to Ver 2.0

Sir Pirate

I hope I don't regret it during today's race (hope it works without an abend).

Cheers -- Mark

I actually could code in COBOL, FORTRAN, and ALC (assembler).

I remember that mainframes used to need a large water supply to cool them. Installing a new mainframe? Call the plumber.

Glad to see the mainframe isn't dead ... it's now just a big (very big) "server" ...

Success! Mark, Joe and I did a mile (1609m) and 2K cool down QRs without a problem. Mark and I were running RP V2.0 and Joe is still on V1.8. Mark race mastered the mile and Joe did the 2K so it looks like either version will work together out in the real world. I even false started for the 2K and we recovered and started normally. The results were saved too.

Now if I could only row fast without coughing I'd be ready for the CRASH-Bs.

Frank

5 hours of computer h*** later, I am back in the game. Anyone who doubts the superiority of macs should go through the process of installing the OS on both platforms. I had just a glimpse of the broadcast camera and that looks cool, although what I really need is some way to see the names of the people rowing the other boats, since I always forget who is who.

Frank, have you been sick too? Bad timing for me too. I hope I recover enough to row next weekend, otherwise I will just do it "for fun".

I set up a couple of pace boats and it was doing it then 8)

Sir Pirate
