Baz 1.6 MM (Bungee Backup Baz?)
It isn't worth contemplating what 100kg hurtling towards the ground at Circular Quay, attached to a Bungy Cord, would look like...might break the descent record though
I will sneak in a row before I go though......
And thought for the day....'better a short rope for abseiling, than a long rope for bungy jumping'

Well it is ‘post-abseil’ and all went well. Janet and I went ‘over-the-edge’ just before 12 noon on a spectacular Sydney day, although a few storm clouds are rolling in now....
We had a safety briefing, got our harnesses on, and stood out on the observation deck taking in the view of the harbour and bridge. And for those who have visited Sydney know just how good that is!
But alas, we were here to do more than take in the view, and the tap on the shoulder soon came (all too soon). It seemed like in a nano-second we were attached to a piece of rope and standing on the edge..
Janet leaned back at right-angles to the building (26 floors - 110 metres) and said come on Baz , so I did the same glanced over to Janet, she had a bit of a giggle, we both had a laugh and than it was on. The descent was fantastic. I managed to ‘hop’ down the building and Janet absolutely flew down. After a few minutes (not sure how long) we had feet back on terra-firma and both got a big hug from TomO who said - cool
And a big thanks to my luna-tics mates for all your support......
Sign me (us) up for next year!
Cheers, BBB

BAZzy - Only a Luna-Tic would do a stunt like that. Way Cool! I didn't know they made climbing ropes that long. Next year you need to do the helmet mounted video camera thing.

Our card reader went to our friends, along with the Model D, so I'm trusting the card to remember the last few days' numbers ... we're picking up the card reader that goes with our new (to us) Model E, tomorrow. In the meantime, it's been casually mentioned that the monitor has a USB port ... just schlepp the laptop to the rower, and voila! Whatever ... there'll be a few meters downloaded manana.Kona2 wrote: ... Many are close....find those upload cables ...
