Hi Marilyn,

I would stay away from PATT and go with the system you had in place for Le Tour or try something new with Nonathlon point system.

With the Nonathlon, there is no math involved by the user in determining points. The Nonathlon has a user-friendly display. Each distance category can also be sorted. An example would be if you had a 6k race, everyone would enter their times on the Nonathlon web site. Then, you could sort that distance among everyone and easily go down the sorted, descending list, obtaining the point results. You can also confirm times by clicking on that person points, I think, which would reveal their actual time.

Another good aspect of the Nonathlon is that you can create a cumulative point system, like in the Tour de France where they use cummulative time.

If you want a raging headache when you don't have any free time, then go with PATT to determine a racing points.

Later,
Thomas

Hi Thomas

I will use the percentage (PATT or not PATT) that I used in Le Tour 2003, with the difference, I will compare with the best times from 2005 and not with the WR because the guys M30H are very sad when I compare with the WR
The thing with each kilo and each age is maybe fair but not realistic, in the real races you are M40 and not M47,5 and you are HWT and not 89,5WT.

There are another problems, that they can be unfair or fair too. For example with the teams. I received the suggestion for USA to use States:
USA Florida
USA California
or in Germany
Germany Bavarian
Germany Schleswig
(in case of more than one rower per country)

because with country teams is too complicate
considering that some countries can have many rowers other countries only one.

I think the first 2 weeks, we will row in the groups (A, B, C, D) and in the week 3 and 4 we row in 8. Finals, 4. Finals, semi finals and the Final

I am sure we will have some fun
But please I need feedback for the other rules

Are the points ok? You can check my preview with the rules

Marilyn
www.supercanoa.com

If you need an example, let me it know

Marilyn
