12 Million Fall Challenge Team Meters!!
Whoop! Whoop! Hooyah! Congratulations! YOUR meter contributions helped get us across the finish line - and everyone of them is just as important as any other. Thanks to all who rowed as Team Luna-Tic in this challenge! We hope to see you on a future challenge roster...and on the year round team! (Shameless advertising continues! )
What a great Luna-Tic challenge! The final numbers are pouring in from all over the rowing universe - and there is no doubt that this challenge is a success on many different levels! WIth more rowers in the overall rowing universe, and more teams (bigger teams!), the competition in the challenges is fierce. In our previous two years of competition, we've fielded a larger team - and we've come in in third place both years. This year, looks like we'll be in fifth place - albeit with a smaller team, yet a higher average number of meters per team member! In fact, our numbers this year are pretty close to what we achieved for third place last year - and we did it with fewer team members. I am positive that we have team members who have surpassed their own expectations (Great news, Brett, on your accomplishments....wowzer, when you take on some challenges, you really go after them!) - and that's what it's really all about. We exist to help each other be successful - through competitions between team members (you know you want to move ahead in the team rankings!) - you never know how your story is going to help someone else be successful. Sometimes it's just that thought of "well, if he or she can tackle all that...maybe I can, too." And then there's that outrageous goal of going to the moon --- and beyond! Pretty clear that we absolutely love the team competitions - Luna-Tics rock!
Will be putting together the Fall Challenge Chart (both the meter swings and a comparison to previous challenge years), and AJ's Lunar Feature acknowledgement.....personally, I am sure that I achieved a distance equal to the lunar Humboldt crater. Hope that I can get out of that crater in the next few weeks!
